What to add to a eLiquid that taste's like Mentholated cough syrup

Hello, I'm "new" in the world of mixing up flavors (usually I just buy pre-filled cartos) but I realize how much money you can save by refilling your own carts.

I recently purchased a bottle of eliquid Menthol 24MG from MyVaporStore. The liquid alone taste's like "mentholated cough syrup"

Any suggestions and what other flavor I can add to get that "mentholated cough syrup" taste down? If so how many drops of "menthol" , and how many drops of another flavor ?

I use the "Cap Method" to fill the carts up

I plan on buying 10ml bottles of several flavors so I can experiment. It doesn't matter to me what the ratio of VG or PG is.

My favorite flavor right now is "Freeport" from primevapor.com I wish I knew how to emulate that flavor. It's 100% VG, but I'm sure there's a way to reproduce it with a VG/PG mix or just straight up VG mix.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I know it basically comes down to experimenting, but I just wanted to pick the brains of some of the experts out there, before I start experimenting heavily.​

I make one I call Cough Drop WARNING it is very strong. I and the few I mix for love it.


TPA Strawberry 15%
Menthol diluted in PG 20%


I make my mixes at 80/20 12mg nic

I personally would half it with any other single flavor you have (ie strawberry) - it would make a "kickin strawberry" type ejuice then. Good Luck =). They more than likely put too high of a percentage of menthol in the recipe.

Thanks for replying, I will try a 1/2 and 1/2 mix when I receive my other flavors that I ordered.
