Assuming I understand what it was, let me just say that my guess is at least some departments had training on these because I am vaping in my car all the time and made eye contact with police many times and there was at no point any sort of alert in their eyes. I may be naive, but I respect police officers since I used to interact with them at work at some point and, at least here, they have a hard life. (Which doesn't mean I don't hate them and tell them so when they just fundraise for the municipality by giving out ridiculous speeding tickets).
