Hey family,

What topper do you guys use with a dna 30 and/or dna 30 clone device? I didn't do my homework and I am stuck with this chana mod that works perfectly for a DNA 30.

However, I have no idea what topper and/or build to use with it. Kayfuns/Russians work best at 1.2 ohms and 8-10 watts I found for me. I want to use a topper that functions well at 15 plus watts and even crank out a couple toots at 30 watts, right? Isn't that the fun of a DNA 30 ?

So what topper (rba tank or clearo etc.) can I use ? And what ohm build you suggest ? I really hate high ohm and high volts but I guess I have no choice if I want to use this thing... Where should I start ? And I know I'm a pain but I not interested in drippers. It is so inconvenient for me (everyone is different).

Thanks for listening.

I like my KFL+ clones at around 15+ watts. I don't have a DNA device in my collection yet, but I do have an SX220 mod. (Sigelei 20 Watt) Waiting for the release of the Evolv Innokin collaboration to grab a DNA powered device. Still finding my coil sweet spot. I have settled in to 5/64 ID with peaches and cream wick. Ohms are what I am fiddling with. So far 1.5 is nice, enjoy 1.8, but am trying some 1.0 and 1.2 builds.

There's no reason to max out your settings for what you have or want to do. Especially since you said you don't want a dripper. I usually don't vape at any higher than 4.5 volts, so if I wanted to max out power on a DNA30 then I'd need to run at least a 0.7 ohm coil. I've never taken my KFL below 1.2 since I'm happy with it, and I'm not sure how it would run at sub ohm. So with my kayfun I never even get close to 30 watts.

You don't need to run your device at peak performance to get a good vape. Just my 2 cents :)

I agree. You might have a Porsche that can go +180Mph, it doesn't mean you have to run it that way all the time. Doing so responsibly occasionally could be fun, but it's not required.

I received a VapeShark rDNA 30 this past Monday as my first DNA mod. I have been playing around with different builds to try to find what I like.
I started out with a Kayfun Lite at 1 ohm and changed it to a 1.4 ohm build tonight. I have used both of these builds up to 15 watts and I like the 1.4 ohm better.
I have used my Magma and 454 Big Block drippers from 20 to 30 watts with .5 ohm dual coil builds in them. Some flavors of juices like higher watts than others I have found.
I plan on using this DNA mod for when I am out running errands around town with a Kayfun Lite mounted on it.

Dr g. You are a lunatic - you follow me around and write rude comments on every thread. If don't like my thread or if I asked the same question twice to get more responses cause people log on at different times that's my choice. If don't like it leave and follow a thread you like. No need to attack me. There has been some awesome info I got from these threads. Each participant helped me greatly and I'm sure the info maybe even helped others too. I brushed up on some of my coil building skills and worked more with the kayfun as some suggested at the higher ohms and it's working nice.

Also, I picked up the aspire mini nautilus with the vertical coils and it is working amazing so far. At 1.8 ohm cartridges can get a good saturated vape from 9 watts up to 16,17 watts which is fantastic to me. So thanks to the people who suggested trying that piece. It's working nice and thanks to all for the other tips. I'm implementing the ones I can and will be purchasing some more of the toppers suggested when I can. Thanks again all. And Try that bvc coil too - it's pretty nice / lots of reviews on YouTube on it .
