been reading a few posts of new vapors struggling to find a juice they like. in a way i'm having the reverse problem. i'm starting to realize i got lucky that i liked the brand i started with. my first juice i had was green apple and i really enjoyed it for the first few weeks. after that, while undeniably very good, it lost favor with me as an ADV, but by that time i had discovered what has become my two all-time favorites. coffee and blueberry kona coffee. what makes them great ADV's for me is that they don't overwhelm. and there are a couple more flavors that i mix together every now and then for a change of pace. all by the same brand.

for the past couple of months i've been experimenting with juices from other companies and have been underwhelmed to say the least. they've all been just way too over the top in one way or another; so maybe saying i’ve been overwhelmed is more accurate.

today a new flavor arrived from a company that i've read good things about here, the flavor i got is strawberry cheesecake and it smells like candy (not a good sign for me). and the taste? well you know the aftertaste you get after you've thrown up in your mouth a little? that's what it tastes like to me.

all in all i'm a little disappointed that i haven't found another brand that i like but at the same time glad that there is at least one brand of juice maker out there with flavors i really enjoy.

so anyway i was curious to know if others have had similar experiences because mine seems to be unique from what i’ve been reading thus far on this here e-cig interwebzez forum.

I started with 3 brands after taste testing them at a local B&M. I still like 1 of those 3. I prefer variety rather than ADV, so I have tried 40+ vendors since then and found 6 or 7 I re-order from. I'd like to say I'm getting off this juice chasing treadmill now that I have found some go-to's. But that would be a lie - I have 12 new flavors waiting to be tried & 1 new vendor order on the way.

not so great at first, I used the brand cartos that matched the cigalike I started with-took me a bit to find good stuff...progression was prefilled cartos-mbv with different set up-then I think Nicoticket was first foray into juice that made me say "mmmm, there is some really good stuff out there"-now I'm trying lots of vendors, not looking for an adv or anything, just enjoying variety of flavors and blends offered-so much still to try too/hardly put a dent in my list and it's still growing-it can be overwhelming, but I'm enjoying it since the duds list isn't all too long...I also use a subscription service cause it gives me even more vendor variety while in my flavor profile-just for the fun of it:)

My first experience was with pre-filled cartridges that I had to get used to. Once I decided to look into filling tanks and looking for juice I was overwhelmed by the suggestions and positive and negative reviews of the same juice. I decided then to go into DIY! Yep just 6 weeks in and I was DIY'ing. Figured out my own flavor mix and have been quite happy ever since.

Horrible and I just revisited it the other day and got a rude reminder.
Local B&M that only sold their product in 5ml for 6ish bucks. I wanted to quit smoking and learn to vape because I had friends on the West Coast doing it. Everything tasted like plastic and alcohol with a twinge of what it was supposed to be. Left with a very expensive "kit" ego 900 mah and a crappy topper and two bottles of bad juice. Tried hard to like it but not happening. Got on this forum and got informed and 6 months later I am happily vaping with better equipment and much better liquid.

Went to another one of those B&M's the other day and watched while the (completely uninformed) sales person told the poor unsuspecting consumer that a variable was no different and she would only be wasting her money if she choose to go elsewhere and find one (instead of buying his crap kit)
Was all I could so to not shout "STOP' and get her informed
She bought his crap kit and with the ce4 topper and left with his crap juice.

i started with the pre-filled cartridges too. the brand i ordered the starter kit had an option to order a variety pack of cartos. my first two favorites from them was green apple and cherry. but after a couple of weeks i began to tire of those flavors cause they had too much personality but not enough substance for me. then i got the coffee and realized i found my ADV. the blueberry kona coffee flavor came shortly thereafter and became the one flavor to rule them all. those two have since followed me throughout my vaping journey beyond cartos, and i occasionally mix them with RY4 or tobacco flavor to switch things up a bit while i experiment with other brands of juice makers.

I'd tried the cigalikes a few years ago. I was less than impressed, tbh. Flash fwd to last year and a friend from work had some sort of clearo on an ego, and got me to try it. It was better than the cigalike, so after a month or two I got a $50 starter kit... With some supposedly "djarum black" eliquid by "ev".

After revisiting it, I'm genuinely surprised I had quit with that juice. Forget that it tastes NOTHING like any clove... It just all around sucked

I've had great success so far. Only been vaping a little over 3 months now. The equipment I've bought has been great (Innokin VV V3, MVP 2, SVD, Aspire Nautilus, Kanger Aerotank, iClear 16/30) so far. As far as juices, I must admit I probably like a wider variety than most. I started with MBV which is really good and have tried about 10 different companies. Only one has disappointed so far. Tried HHV, AiV and Zeus in the last month or so and have been pretty blown away with the quality. I figure this year I'll try a little from each top company I hear about, document what I think about each juice and when tax time comes around again I'll buy big bottles of what I love. Of course I'll keep trying new things but not at the pace I've been going. With equipment I'll stick to what I have for the year and then get into RBA's, mech mods etc next year. If I win the lottery that'll change haha.

My first juice came with the kit my husband bought me for my birthday. It was so gross and I felt terrible about it, since it was a gift. Tobacco flavor and the nic was way too high. My brother was vaping blueberry. He let me try it and I really liked it. We went to the place where he bought it and I picked up a few bottles of white grape. I didn't know any better but it was china juice and pretty good tasting too. Shortly after, a new vape store opened in the area so I was able to get a taste for better juice.
