Mine was a beginner's kit from Happy Vaper about five months ago - it came with a CE4 clearomizer and two batteries (that I don't even think they offer anymore) that were super-basic, short battery life, and a charger. Within six weeks, I had upgraded to Protank II Mini/clones and a couple of eGo-Cs instead. Much better. :D

I tried one at a social event, and then decided to get one. I started off with some cheap-o starter kit, but it did have VV, it wasn't too bad, and I think a CE4 type of clearomizer.

Eventually I wanted to upgrade, so I ended up going with the Halo Triton setup, as I had grown fond of some of their juices.

After a bit, I moved onto the ego type devices to increase compatibility with the myriad of parts that you can get locally. Much a happier now but still use that triton, as its a good device (albeit a fancy version of a kanger t2)

I saw a friend vaping on a ego style battery with a clearo and didn't think much of it at the time. He wasn't a heavy smoker like myself so I didn't believe it would work for me. As time passed and we saw one another at social gatherings, every time I went for a smoke he would say I should consider trying to switch.

Eventually I started researching products and once I made up my mind, I decided on a ego style starter pack from an online vendor. It consisted of two 900 mah batteries, two clearo's and an e-liquid of my choice. I vaped and smoked that first day but I put the analogs down the next day and I haven't looked back since.

It's been almost 9 months since making the switch. Although I've moved on to something more advanced, getting that initial set up was one of the best things I've ever done.

Live well, Love hard, Laugh often & Vape on!

1. Bought a Njoy king from a gas station because smoking was taking a toll on my health
2. Njoy made me sick, went back to smokes
3. Found a vape shop 3 miles from my house. Bought a G6 kit with "Virgin Vapor - Best Damn Tobacco"
4. Bought more various juices
5. Bought a Vamo
6. Bought a Mech

Here I am.

I still use the G6, by the way. Great on the road battery.

Bought some cig-a-likes in a local smoke shop in 2009, used it for a couple weeks. Back then it wasn't as big and I just put it away... Nephew found an ego last year and bought it for me for my birthday. Me, ego and $60 in awesome DIY juice my nephew made made me put them down in less than 24 hrs haven't looked back since! I still have a pack in my freezer from July 29, 2013!!

A few online gaming friends were talking about it. After seeing their success I did some research and got a Joye 510 t kit. It worked well enough to keep me from lighting up, but I knew long term batteries lasting only 3-4 hours wasn't going to cut it.

Upgraded to an Evod kit after a couple of weeks and first puff I knew for certain I QUIT :)

Earlier this year, I tried to quit smoking cold turkey. The results were...not good. I may or may not have attempted to hijack a nuclear submarine and bomb the west coast like they did in that Sean Connery movie. It's all a bit of a blur.

Anyhow, I had a friend who was into vaping, and he suggested I try it. I stopped by WalMart and got one of those Fin e-cigs. It wasn't very good, but I could see how it might at least help me cut down. A week later, I bought one of the eGo kits, and I was off to the races.

Around 2006 I ordered a pipe from litecigusa. It looked like a real tobacco pipe, was awesome for about a month. Then one day I had it in my pocket when suddenly I started wondering why my leg was starting to hurt. Somehow it activated and burnt right through my pocket to skin, burnt up the electrical too, never worked again. But I ordered something else and kept on vaping. Mods have really come along way since then.

I remember thinking at one point, 'WHY can't someone come up with a safer cigarette or an alternative that looks and feels like smoking but doesn't cause cancer? It can't be that hard!' About two weeks later I got some email spam from Blu when they first came out. I normally don't even read spam before deleting it, but it looked like the answer to my question so I clicked on it. I spent around 50 bucks for a starter kit with a bunch of flavors (I still use the charger on my eGo's). It was a huge PITA and totally unsatisfying, even after several weeks of 'giving it one more try'. I went right back to smoking and didn't think about it again until some years later when my health was going quickly down the drain. I looked online to see if there had been any advances in the technology and was pleasantly surprised to find there had been. After lurking on ECF for a couple weeks I walked to a new vape shop in my neighborhood and got a Spinner, a protank2 and some juice. That was the day I smoked my last cigarette. 2 weeks later I joined this forum and have been here ever since.

Two part first time, it will make some sense.Buddy let me try his bought at a mall(sawgrass in 2009).Loved it for a few puffs.Second part, used it for a full night and blood ran from my nose, (it was sitting in the Florida sun for 6 months before I used it and have no idea what happened to the liquid and still vaped it).Still loved it but the blood did turn me off.A short time later and some online research and guidance( why I owe ecf, everytihing no joke) quit for good in 09.

My first experience was with a couple no-name e-cigs that my mom ordered for me out the blue. She always told me how I smelled like an ashtray and worried about my health. I never used them very much on account of the harsh throat hit.

A few months later a friend of mine started getting into the hobby, and I would sporadically try out his new equipment. As his rig continued to upgrade I started to find which equipment and juices would give me the best and smoothest vape possible. I was always initially turned off by vaping because I would cough when inhaling the vapor.

I've come a long way since then! I am now using sub-ohm builds on a mechanical. It has been a lot of fun discovering this new hobby, as it is easily 100 times more complicated than I thought it was. Which, to me, is a damn good thing.
