I am fairly new to this vaping, it has been two weeks. Getting through all the side affects of quitting like coughing, burning throat, losing vape taste. But my big ques is what to vape at. I have an aspire nautilus with 20watt, on 1.8ohm bvc. juice is 70/30 I believe. I read the charts and read some forums. Some say 8 watts and others say 11-12 watts. I just want a good taste. What is my best option for wattage? And not burn my coils or my throat.

The rule of thumb for EVERY vape device you'll ever own is the same. Start low power, take a draw and bump it up to repeat. If it starts to taste funny, gets too hot or tastes burnt, back it down. Different flavors will have different sweet spots so you just have to experiment.

I usually vapes my Nautilus around 12 watts, depends on the juice.

You mentioned volts in one post. What mod/battery are you using?

My first setup was the Aspire Premium Kit which was a Nautilus Mini and the CF/VV+ mod which only controlled volts. I ran that at 4.3 volts and when I got a mod that did watts I ran them at 10 watts.

How long a coil lasts depends on how much you vape and what kind of juice you use.

Welcome @Crystaldm

There are so many factors regarding "best watts to run" and "how long a coil will last".

You got some good answers regarding the first - as others mentioned, start low and work your way up (especially with a new coil!) Keep in mind, different juices will taste better at different levels. So a setting that works well with one juice may be wretched with another. You will have to play a bit and maybe keep track of what works well where.....

Regarding coil life - same thing. Different juices (sweeter, darker) will be harder on a coil than lighter, less-sweet juices. Also, depends on how often you are using your mod.

I have the Nautilus and the Nautilus Mini tanks. I often soak my coil after one full-size tank full or two Mini tankfuls in unflavored vodka for a few hours or overnight. Rinse and let airdry.

When the flavor starts getting cruddy, it's probably time to change a coil.

Glad you're here. Pull up a chair and your vape and make yourself at home :)
