whats a good coil to build not sub ohm on kfl+

So i been building the regular coils long enough.. They work great but now i want to build something different. I have been watching videos all day but I have a vamo so i cant go sub ohms. I have 30 kanthal and cotton or silica and i have an ohm meter, any suggestions on a good coil build other than a few twists around some cotton? Spanks.

if you're feeling creative and all you have is the 30 gauge kanthal, try a twisted coil. You need 3, 8 to 10 inch strands of kanthal, a drill and a pair of pliers. You can find some videos on Youtube. Not hard to do at all and the results are good!

im feeling creative and have plenty of 30 so im gonna try the wrapped one. I was on the fence about trying dual coils but i think wrapped sounds more challenging at the moment. so did you mean drill or drill bit?? I have both just wondering? thanks

drill you stick one end of the wires in the chuck, and the other end is clamped by the pliers. You slowly, like as slow as you can go spin the drill till its all twisted. once that is done you can do it a bit faster to make sure everything is tight. I usually do it by hand as the drill isn't always charged when i want to use it.

thanks, i just got to that point in riptrippers video after i posted the questions. Ill give it a go with a drill. Last 2 question... Any recommendations on the drill bit size to make the final coil, and do i need to tilt it up like i see in all the videos since it is a kfl?

I have been using a kfl for the past month and ive only tried 2 builds 1 of which you cant do. The other coil I use is a 1.1 - 1.4 ohm micro using 28 gage 8-10 wraps on a 5/64th drillbit and works amazing. You could do the same with 30 gage but it will run you at about 1.5 - 1.8 ohms. Thanks. I ended up doing the twisted 30 around a toothpick(work with whatcha got), It came out to 1.3 ohms and is kinda warm for my liking. Next time ill try less wraps. not too cloudy, but still a great vape.

I would check our Rip tripper on YouTube, he's got some awesome coil builds, either the diamond coil, or the double barrel coil seem to work awesome!

12-14 wrap micro of 28 ga on a 5/64 drill bit will get you 1.4 ohms and will hit like a monster on a vv device that goes above 5 v. idk how many wraps for 30 ga

Running all my Kayfun type devices on micro coils 1.5ohm to 1.8ohm. Cotton wick and a cotton nest around the coil.
Fantastic Vape and the combo last several(4-5) tanks before wicks need replacing.

Agree with crxess, I run 1/16 bit, 30 guage, 6/7 wraps around 1.5 ohms with cotton and vape all day for quite a few tanks till flavor seem less. Clean dry burn rewick and back to vaping.
