The default titles (senior member, super member, pv master, etc) are based on post count. Here's the full list of default titles:
0-9 posts - Member
10-149 - Full Member
150-299 - Senior Member
300-999 - Super Member
1000-2999 - Ultra Member
3000-9999 - PV Master
10000 - 19999 ECF Guru
20000 - 29999 Double Guru
30000 - 39999 Triple Guru
40000 - 49999 Quad Guru
50000 - ? Ascended to a Higher Plane

Supporting member is someone who has subscribed to ECF via donation. $24/year and you get a few perks, including the ability to customize your user title to whatever you want (my title is a custom one)

Verified member means they've gone through the verification process to be able to access the classifieds and co-op sections

ECF Veteran is a user who has been around for a year (and has more than 70 posts), awarded automatically

I think that covers most of them. There's also a user tag for the Folding@Home team, plus the mod/admin ranks for the staff

Someone ran out of steam there, I sense. :2cool: Other descriptors, other descriptors... hmmm... Sage, Mastermind, Scholar, Prodigy, Wizard... Maybe you guys can do something with those.

Or we could move towards more straightforward acknowledgements:

10000 - 19999 ECF Guru
20000 - 29999 Obviously Retired
30000 - 39999 Retired and Bored
40000 - 49999 Bored and Depressed
50000 - ? Dangerously Vitamin D Deficient

Actually the double triple and quad guru titles are intentionally uninspiring. I have lots of titles in mind that could have been used, but seriously after 10K posts who cares? :)
