Watts is a pretty good measure of heat. Heat is what vaporizes the juice and produces vapor. The more heat, the thicker the vapor (until it starts tasting burnt). Most people like nice thick vapor.

Voltage is provided by the battery. Resistance (ohms) is provided by the atomizer. In order to get more wattage (heat) you can either increase the voltage or lower the resistance.

I'm not too familiar with your devices (besides the blu) but the difference in taste you're experiencing is probably because the atomizers in each unit has a different resistance. Wattage does effect flavor as well as vapor.

A lot of people talk about the "sweet spot". This is usually referring to the optimum wattage for a particular person and juice. (everybody's different)
