Hey all,
Long time lurker here but I have been studying the site closely and learning as much as I can about this hobby/lifestyle. My last analog was in July and went through the common progression through vape gear. Started with cig-a-likes, onto egos/clearos, but being the tinkerer that I am, mechanicals and rbas soon followed. Built myself a wooden box bottom feeder, wired in a kick and that was fun. I picked up a VTR soon after they came out and it has been my day to day go to work piece since but have been stuck using protanks and the Iclear30s with it. That is until today.....
Yup, a dremel, cut off wheel, various sanding/polishing drums, about 45 mins in the garage, and now I can rock my Fogger V2's or any other 22mm tank or atty without that ridiculous extension tube. I was a bit worried about what was under the chrome on the top section but it seems to be solid stainless.
I know the cage served a purpose but for me, it's limitations made it worth the risk to remove it. It seemed to me that the size of the cage, spinning 510 connection or using the extender tube have been the biggest complaints that I've read about this device on various forums. So I did away with two at least and it works great. Innokin should redesign this thing for a version 2 without the spinning connection and cage instead of making grenades and gatling guns and I bet they'd have a real winner.
