Been off the forum for a while so I may have missed something.

Have ordered my standard Boge 510 SR cartos in stainless for my M1A1 tank from two different vendors and have noticed so far three boxes of them last about a day before they taste burnt. They are also turning my clearer DIY juices completely brown and leaking dark juice out the bottoms.

Normally Boges last me a week or better with at least 20ml of juice throught them. I vape at 5 volts or better and have never had this problem before. I have noticed if I get a bad carto in a new box, usually the whole box is crap. If the first one is good, they are all usually good.

Did they change something? Do I need to find a new carto?

You might want to try Ikenvape 801 fusions, with a whatever-to-801 adapter, when Ikenvape reopens (looks like it'll be quite soon). That's all I've used for the last 9 months, in an M1A1. My eliquid is relatively thin, and I punch 2 holes with my DIY carto punch, not sure how well they do with thicker liquids (fusions are tightly packed). I get typical 22 - 24 ml through between changes.

Electronicstix also sells fusions and for cheaper, they aren't exclusive to Ikenvape.

Also, I've had no issue with my Bogies as of late, they seem to be the same old cartomizers. There is a time period for about thirty minutes where I vape under the voltage I normally do, just to allow the carto enough time to soak so that it is even enough where I'm not worried about it burning.

Basically, if I'm vaping at 5v and I switch to a new one. I'll leave it in after filling and vape it at 4.5v until my tank starts feeding, then I'll move it back up to 5v, that way I know it is performing as per usual and it is evenly soaked.

From what I've seen it sounds like the electronicstix fusions are indeed knockoffs.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...busardos-fake-fusion-video-2.html#post5574857

I get mine direct from Ikenvape, or the resellers they specifically state carry them.

(It doesn't mean the electronicstix ones are good vs. bad, just that they are a knockoff.)

Phil didn't know the fusions were made by Boge when he made the video as they are not advertised as "Boge" on Ike's shop but they are on electronicstix. There aren't two different lines of fusion cartomizers, nor is there a knockoff. They are the same cartomizers. It was a misunderstanding, and Phil was comparing the fusions to the 510 Boge cartomizers, not "these" fusions to "those" fusions.

Look at the carto connectors in the video and take note that Phil has no idea they are Boge cartomizers.

Your welcome.

According to pbusardo they aren't the same.

Taste Your Juice | The 801 Fusion Cartomizer

Hm, that is interesting. He didn't mention any of that in his video, must be why I misunderstood your concern.

...but if that's true, then who is copying who?
Are electronicstix's copies of Ike's or are Ike's copies of electronicstix's?

How do you know Ike's is genuine and electronicstix is the copy?
Ike could be the copy.

Or neither, maybe they are both duped.
Or maybe they are made by the same company and they switched materials for two different batches.

I've noticed a couple of things about my Boge cartos lately. One is a variation in filler packing. I get too many that absorb juice slowly, so I leave them in the condom for 15 to 30 minutes before vaping them. Even then, I notice a tendency to change taste too quickly and have to top them off more frequently. After a day or so, they loosen up.

The other thing is thread consistency. Sometimes the thread is a nice tight fit. Other times I get a rocker when I screw it on. I'll start to vape and sense movement back and forth when I do. The next one out of the box is good. I see that on my eGo as well as on the Provari. Some stop turning before the barrel bottoms out, but even those rock if the bottom of the barrel hasn't settled tightly on the ecig tube.

Ike just came up with his own spec for what he wanted, & is pretty decent about qc, seeking consistency.

I have nothing against the Boge fusion, I just stay with the IkenVape because it has been consistent for me.

Minor variations pop up all the time. I loved when Riva, the original ego knockoff, then had its own raft of Riva clones :) It was brutal trying to figure out what any given item was.

I've been staying clear from the Boges for a few months myself.

I'd looove to know if Boge and ST have fixed their cartomizer issues.... or not. I have new vapers here that want to use Boges but I'm not sure whether to recommend them or point them straight at CE#s.

Wouldn't it be nice if these manufacturers would issue a statement to the community? Instead, they pretend that nothing is happening while rushing to fix the problem (while most likely keeping vendors informed).

And YES I am suspicious of any vendor that is selling Boges in bulk at the moment until I hear that the cartos being sold are good and not bad batches being shifted fast.

Love to All

One thing to bear in mind. ALL cartomizers are sold by the manufacturers as a 1 time use item. Everything we get after that should be considered gravy.
We all know that cleaning them, putting them in tanks and being sure to keep the wet makes them last for a good deal beyond what they were made for.
But it's definitely past the manufacturers design.

I can see this thread was started a long time ago but I wanted to respond to it anyway. I have had good luck with boge 3ohm cartos but i just got 6 boxes and the first two boxes had really bad carts in it. Filling material up to the top etc but the disappointing thing is 6 out of 10 failed within 2 hours ie 3ohm down to around 1.5 to 2ohm... the other four have lasted about half a day each before kicking the bucket.. I'm only pushing about 7.25 watts through my carts yet they fail hard. I'm a bit discouraged about it.. not just the expense but also I take a cart to work with a back up in case it fails.. with this batch i will have to take backups for my backups for my backups.. I understand we dont live in a perfect world but that kind of failure rate is pretty much unconscionable. I would pay a premium to have a high quality cart that performed well 99% of the time. Can Apple start making cartomizers please !?!

To add to yours re the Boge issues:
I bought a package of different tanks and one was a 4 ml with the flanged cart. I'm still a newbie but this was a really good vape. Because I had filled it with Strawberry juice I thought I would change out the cart and go to a different juice. big mistake different thread. Went to a 6 ml tank and a Boge cart and that was like vaping a potato.

.........

Ikenvape came out with the Fusions long before Electronic Stix.
Electronic Stix is in my town and I've been doing business with them for about 2-1/2 years.

IKV Fusions are the originals and are better in every respect than the copies.

I got one of those mix 5 box lr,sr,xxl deals. The first xxl LR Boge seem fake. I use XXL 510D Boges. I even mostly get the black wrap cartos and remove the black wrap because the SS are out of stock most of the time. I punch my own and add my own tanks. Always had great success with 510 D Boges. These I recently got were not 510D Boges. The Lables use to have large print capped letters showing LR OR SR. These have the small print on the plactic cover. No lables. I was shocked when I used a LR carto a got that dry burnt taste. It was like I was using my 5 Volt Woo on it. What I used was several 3.7 volts mods and the carto still hit dry and burnt. Even using it in my tanks.

I do have to say I lucked out on another vendor that I get my 510D boges xxl SR's. These are stated on the vendors site still as 510D Bog XXL SR'S, but they are the same style wrapping with print on the clear plastic cover as the burnt dry hit carto's offered in bulk of 5 boxes for $23.00 free shipping. The SR XXL Boge seemed to be working. I still have to try the SR XXL Boges from my mix deal Boge packs. I will post up about these tomorrow after I try them.

The Revolution V2 I have, comes with 5, 510D Boges and they are quality Boges. They come with the Large letter Lables on the cartos. I thought after reading all these complaints that we have knock offs floating around or Boge just cut cost and lowered the quality of the product. I would rather pay $8.99 a pack of 5 for the orginal 510D Boges than getting them cheaper in bargain bulk deal.

I was curious why my xl lr boge from my bargain pack started tasting burnt with in a few puffs, so I opened it up. I made sure the carto was dry and I splipped out the tube poly filler wrap intact. Unfortunately I also pulled the wire with it. What I could see was about a 1/3rd from the bottom of the carto, the poly filler had burned up and there was a large black burnt mark with melted filler that was giving me that awful taste. The wire was burning the filler.

I have been seeing so many threads on the various forums in regards to what is happening to boge. Aparantly the company that maufactures them has such high demand they have various subcontractors manufacturing. I may have gotten the details wrong, but here is the link to the other thread and their findings:http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartomizers/312202-its-end-world.html. Hope this helps answer some of the questions.
