I've had my nautilus for about a month. I do like it, the taste is great and it has a solid vape. I dislike having to change the coils so frequently. I bought a 5 pack of authentic coils and at the most they lasted a week. Granted i am a some what heavy vaper at times. One burned out in 2 days.

What are my options next? I don't want to get into spending crazy amounts of money. I'd like the same amounts of flavor and vape. Any advice?

I'm liking the design of the magma rda. (i don't have one)

very simple: 2 posts; symmetrical. more room to work with than others where the positive post is in the center.

For something small and slim such as a spinner I would think the Kanger mini tanks would be nice, you can easily rebuild the bottom dual coils(BDC) into a single coil and get a pretty good vape out of them, plus they arent expensive and have a pyrex tank section. The BVC coil heads in the Nautilus is nice but they arent that cheap and look like they arent too easy to rebuild.

The best set-up I have is a Kayfun lite plus V2 on a Provari but the Kayfun would be pretty large and heavy on a spinner.

Of course all of this is my opinion so YMMV.

I sort of have the same questions as the OP. I’ve been using the BVCs since they came out. If I get into rebuilding I want something easy to build, something that works well with a single coil at about 1 to 2 ohm because I like long battery life. I’m using a VS DNA30 and a Provari Mini. (at low watts)
I don’t like to fiddle too much because it sets off my OCD - so it would need to be easy and better. I rebuilt protank coils for awhile but they really were not much better than the protank stock coils and they are not as good as a fresh BVC. I don’t really need any more vapor then I get from the BVC but it does kind irritate me that some of the juices I like just gunk them up after 3 days. I can get a week out of some of them and that’s fine,
What’s the next “easy” step (that’s better 1+ ohm) ?
    Thanks

How big is a kayfun? I'd be willing to sacrifice size for $$. I hate buying coils.

Is it comfortable in a pocket? I was thinking of going with a provari at some point.

kayfuns like many other is typically a 22 mm diameter tank; similar size as the typical mod.

After watching Pbusardos vid on the kayfun, it looks pretty simple to build. He mentions a kayfun, kayfun +, and a 91 russion.

    Which is more desirable?

    personally just aim for the

    - russian 91

because it's easier to remember that than to remember

    - kayfun lite plus, Ehpro version (or is it the hcigar version - headscratch)

    lol

    - oH: the original is made by Svoemesto:

From a vision spinner on forward, forget smaller than or as small as an eGo unless you really know what you're doing and can handle an expensive battery killer mini mechanical that has some serious inherent risks in handling. Also, forget anything bigger than a Nautilus on your vision spinner, you're already at the max you can get from your spinner with the BVC Nautilus. I know; bummer for the wallet and for pocket space.

The good new is; a bigger mod will deliver better even on your current Nautilus mini alone. eGo batteries are small and don't really deliver what you think you're getting at max power. A decent mod with a decent rebuildable tank (I agree that Kayfun style is the way to go) will deliver so much more. Drippers need a little more power than the average mod in my experience, but personal experience can differ.

I definitely recommend you start with a regulated mod (box style or tube style) and learn ohm's law gradually with a rebuildable tank. Read the forum, explore things one by one and watch many many youtube videos (recommending PBusardo for moer expensive mods, Rip Trippers for builds and Indoors Smoker for the less expensive stuff). Mechanicals are definitely for people who know exactly what they are doing because the risk of venting a battery is real. Regulated devices have on-board protection and programmed limits to prevent accidents and even meters to help you understand what's going on..

Best advice I can think of: keep reading and keep asking questions. There is no such thing as a stupid question - just stupid people who don't ask questions when they don't understand.

[EDIT]: I've been typing for so long... I agree that the authentic Russian 91% is definitely on top of all Kayfun RBA's. Watch enough videos and talk to enough people and you will come to the same conclusion. Some RBA's might be a little easier to build on, but that has nothing to do with the vape experience!

Do not throw out your Nautilus tanks or old coils.

Once you get comfortable rebuilding, you can rebuild the Nautilus coils, and make them perform even better than stock (I have watched the videos about rebuilding the BVC's but with my Kayfuns and REO's I haven't tried it yet).

You won't want them as an EDV (my opinion only) after trying the others. But I always have a few as back-ups, as they're easy, cheap, and already paid for. And they do work well. Keep a couple at home, in my work truck just in case.

Just my opinion, and I'm from New England. So I'm naturally cheap lol

I too am going to be hopefully moving past BVC's here soon in the next month hopefully. I recently started vaping about 2 months ago and I have my eyes set on a Russian 91% seems like the standard. The authentic Kayfun sounds and looks great as well but from what I have gathered here the Russian is the exact thing but a little better performance wise? Correct?

You just can't go wrong with an authentic Russian. Kayfun originals sound lesser in comparison from everyone I have met that own both an Original Kayfun and a Russian. OTOH, Kayfun clones are a real gamble. From what I gather, the Ehpro is the best clone, followed by the Hcigar, but ordering online adds an extra layer of gamble as not everyone is honest. Read, read, read and make your own opinion on vendors both for originals and clones... or just find a good shop near you (it appears I'm just ludicrously lucky on that end!)

No leaks on my original 91 and no one I ever met who own a Russian has ever complained about it. I did get a tiny bit of sweating from the fill hole until I figured out what the mini o-ring was for.

Good luck with this being your last purchase other than consumables, though... I'm getting a second RBA to have a secondary juice ready cause I'm growing tired of regular tanks. RDA will follow for the occasional juices.
