There is new stuff coming out so fast I can't keep up with it. Good thing we have ecf to rely on for the latest and greatest in product reviews. I have been vaping for over a year and a half and for the last eight months I have been using just the reo and since then. . . I've quit looking because I am so content with the reo. Good luck to you and finding exactly what makes you content. Have fun.

I've been a garage inventor most of my life and even had some success with it. I'd say there is a lot left to discover and a lot that's known that deserves to be perfected so it's going to be a great ride for some years to come. Because the potential market is big and untapped there is going to be room for plenty of companies. With PCs we had to wait around for Intel. Nobody has that kind of lock on vaping. The more of something you make the closer the cost comes to the bare cost of raw materials so the bigger the market the less we pay.

The FDA should just keep stalling and delaying so there is time to get more people vaping. I'm guessing 10's of thousands of people a week are starting to vape and most of them are becoming non smokers. It's a huge shame nobody is trying to get some good numbers about that.

Are there any American companies (excluding the big tobacco cigalike people) with a big presence. Shouldn't we be designing mass market stuff and sourcing production to China? It feels like all the important brands are Chinese. That is also a shame.

2015 will be the year of the small form factor, med-high watt, box mods. I think now that we've reached 200+ watts... and were now hearing about the dangers of high temp vaping... the watt-race will slow down and the manufacturers will focus more on form factor, battery life and maybe more tech stuff. (Smok already has GPS and bluetooth enabled mods to chart your usage on your PC and share your vape location with others etc.)

Hell, Twisted mentioned there is an Android based mod/box coming out something the first half of 2015!!! I can totally see that sort of stuff starting to take off.

Having more "computer-like" touch screen mods could lead to "vape profiles" and saved databases where youd save your settings for certain juices/atomizers/builds and could easily select them when needed from a list. Or you could even browse... say an online database where people could upload specific settings... "this setting is for the Kayfun v4 with 0.5ohm dual 26 gauge coils, fruit-based juices and to be used at 40-50w for a warm to med warm, dense vape"... etc. Really endless possibilities.

I really do hope the wattage wars slow down (preferably stop). It's really kind of a pointless pissing contest. Nobody needs power like that. I have a DNA40 and I'm a huge fan of it and it's got enough power even for complex rda builds. I honestly think the future is vaping smarter not harder. It hurts to see people trashing the dnas because they only go to 40. Meanwhile they are sitting there torching their juice and cotton. It's really nice to have a dry hit and it just steps your wattage down to 0. I could build with kanthal but nickel has been so great that I just haven't gone back. I'm no fan boy by any means it just makes so much more sense than 300 watts setting your lungs on fire. It's kind of like having a super car, yeah it looks really cool and you can show it off but there is really no period when you are going faster than 80 mph. You will never really make use of the full power.

It was in July 2014 that I progressed to mods - largely inspired by what I read here on ECF - and what changes there have been in those few months. Tube mods are hardly even mentioned now, the box is king and leading the pursuit of power. Although it hardly seems likely we are about to see a battery revolution, I think the form of them could change. My camera is powered by an oblong 1250mAh battery that is much more space efficient than a cylindrical equivalent. How much smaller an istick could be without the length of an 18650 to accommodate, possibly leading us towards integrated tank/battery mods. And then micro pumps spraying eliquid onto a heating element as demanded by the user, so both heating current and juice would increase when a hard pull was taken. I for one would be happy with a return to automatic operation!

The demand for batteries in all shapes and sizes for everything electronic just about guarantees constant research, development and improvement. I think that's a given.

The new holy grail for me would be new or improved technology to create FOOLPROOF tanks with long-lasting coils and wicking, as well as consistent vapor production, THAT DON'T LEAK..........E*V*E*R!!

I can't tell you how many times, as newer tanks become available, that I have been in vaping bliss, only to have to stop and fool around with or rebuild the coil. I don't mine rebuilding. Fun much of the time, but tanks (COILS in particular) have a nasty habit of breaking down at the most in-opportune times. Aspire, Kanger and others seem to be making great strides, and we may be almost there. I, for one, can't wait.

I agree, I don't see the mech mod going away anytime soon but at least in the next year we're going to see companies work on making what works now, better. Clearomizer sub-ohming is here with the corresponding clouds, now lets work on better flavor.

An awesome development I'd love to see is a chipped clearo standard. A clero that has a small chip that a mod will recognize and configure for optimal power and temperature settings (user can still modify of course). And a mod that will analyze its own battery to keep it within it's safety limits.
