I sit in front a computer all day at work, and I am constantly listening to music. I'm also constantly on the lookout for some new good tunes, so I thought I'd kick off a thread to list what people are listening to.

On today's playlist:
James LaBrie
Derek Sherinian
Bela Fleck & the Flecktones
Dream Theater
Alice in Chains (old, RIP Layne)
Joe Satriani
Beck
Coheed & Cambria

Anyone else care to chime in?

Ooh, music my favorite topic.

I've been listening to:
The Smiths
Housemartins
Spritualized
Sunny Day Real Estate
Quicksand
The XX
The Kinks (older stuff)
Jawbreaker
Failure

Anyone know any of this stuff?

By the way, love old Alice in Chains and my husband's been on a Dream Theater kick.

Oh me too on the flower child momma. I was born and lived my first couple of years in a hippy commune with my parents. I'm very familiar with all of the old 60s tunes and love them, just not what I'm listening to today. :)

My husband loves Jawbreaker! We listen to Sunny Day Real Estate & Morrisey a lot, too.

I like a lot of different kind of music: old school country, hip-hop, rap, metal, classic rock, 50s, punk, rockabilly, but my favorite is psychobilly. Been listening to the Nekromantix a lot lately, but I like these bands too:

Horrorpops
Tiger Army (one of my fave bands, ever)
Zombie Ghost Train
Reverend Horton Heat (if anyone has Netflix, he has a great concert on the downloadable, check it out)

Plus, there's a lot of good old fashioned rockabilly that just puts you in a good mood like the Stray Cats.

I'm also a major Beatles freak, wish I had all their albums on my Ipod.

Dio (R.I.P Ronnie. He was a hell of a nice guy) :(
Pink Floyd
John Williams (Not the movie soundtrack John Williams)
Andy Timmons
Eric Johnson
Rush
Queen

Long Live Floyd!

I'm going to see Roger Waters again in October. Saw him a couple summers back when he was on hist Dark Side tour. AMAZING!

Playlist so far today:
Steve Vai
Symphony X
Jack Johnson ( I needed to mellow out a minute, I royaly screwed myself on some coding earlier, lost an hour of work in about 10 seconds)
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Ian Moore
Andromeda
The Crystal Method
