I am really looking forward to getting an ecig, but I'm a little cautious to flavored juices and I was just thinking about using standard tobacco flavoring because I want the switch to be as easy as possible. I was wondering if there was any suggestions to flavors I should try first. What was your first flavor and did it make any difference to the switch from smoking?

Taste is totally subjective. I could not, and still can't, stand tobacco flavors. I much preferred bakery and fruity flavors. Your best bet is to find a local shop that you can sample many different flavors and go from there. Good luck and welcome to a happy healthier life, not to mention longer! !

My first flavor was strawberry and it was delicious. I didn't order any tobacco flavors because I honestly didn't want a flavor to remind me of cigarettes and make me want them again. I wanted my vaping experience to be a whole new unique experience that I didn't associate with the tobacco flavor. Everyone is different though, so that being said I know other on here like tobacco flavors but I have also read that it is hard to find a really good one and that a lot of the tobacco flavors out there are really gross. Maybe some of the people who have found good ones will weigh in on here for you.

I started with a sample pack from Heathers heavenly vapes. Heavenly tobacco, menthol ice, atomic fireball, and dew. I loved them all. But settled on heavenly tobacco and fireball. Then
Moved on to huntsman and legend (more flavorful extracted pipe tobaccos) and I've fallen in love for sure!

Honestly, from my experience, the thing we perceive as "cigarette taste" is extremely influenced by the fact that the hot smoke and tar is on our tongue.

Just get a good tobacco juice with very high nicotine level and vape it really hot, youll get the same sensation.

Some of my friends also swear by the NJOY disposables. You can look into that.

Hi dudeman and welcome to ECF! Flavors are so subjective, there is no right or wrong way to approach this. Most people start off with at least one tobacco flavor and end up branching out from there. It doesn't matter what the flavor is, try anything you think might be good for you. Get the smallest bottles you can find, usually 5 to 10 ml each, until you know better what works for you.

I started with one tobacco flavor from Madvapes actually called 'Tobacco'. I also included in that first order candy cane, strawberry daiquiri and green tea. I had to throw out the green tea but liked the others, so I was lucky. All of these were 18 mg/ml and 70/30 PG/VG. Most people don't score three out of four the first time, so don't be surprised if it doesn't go so well for you. Finding something you like to vape definitely helps keep you off cigs. HTH and happy vaping!

If you are worried about the health effects of flavored juice (if that's what you meant) then you should know Tobacco juices are still flavored juices. An unflavored juice would just be straight PG and/or VG with nicotine.

As far as Tobacco flavors, I've tried dozens and dozens, I'd say at LEAST 50 different Tobacco juices, and I have only found one that gets anywhere close to the taste of a real cigarette, and that's the Njoy King juice. The bad news is that the Njoy King is an overpriced disposable, and Njoy does not sell the juice separately.

All the other Tobacco juices tasted like Soy sauce, waffles, maple syrup, coffee, chocolate, almonds, dark fruits, peanut butter, rubber, etc. In other words, Tobacco juices can taste like anything and everything, and I find very few of them good. So don't get a Tobacco juice expecting it to taste like a cigarette, it wont.

Your best bet is to somehow try as many juices as possible, as cheaply as possible, until you find something you like. If you have a local store go in and sample as many as possible. If you don't have a local store, look around online for retailers that offer sample packs. Many of the more popular juice shops offer decent deals on 3ml sample packs so you an try a lot of juice without spending too much money, and without buying a big bottle of juice only to find out that you don't like it.

Personally I really like the Tobaccos from Heather's Heavenly Vapes. Sluge and Dark Horse are my favorite. They don't taste like a cigarette, but they do taste a lot like cigar and/or pipe Tobacco. HHV uses real extracted Tobacco for flavor, which is fairly unique compared to other Tobacco juices. They aren't the only ones that do that by any means, but it's not terribly common. I also like Dekang's Desert Ship that has a nutty flavor with hints of Tobacco.

Other people really like Boba's Bounty, I've never tried it but heard it described as like graham crackers, sweet tobacco, and many other things. It has quite a loyal following of vapers though.

Whatever you choose your best bet is to try as many juices as possible, and to buy the smallest available bottle until you know you like the juice. I'd also suggest having a few dripping atomizers around for tasting juices, you'll get the best flavor out of them, and it's incredibly quick and easy to switch flavors. Then once you find a juice you like proceed to fill your carto, clearo, tank, etc.

Thank you! I bookmarked Alice's site right away. A liquid called "Zombie Apocalypse" that tastes like Strawberry Cupcakes? I've gotta have some!

Matt

be advised there is a 10-12 day wait on new orders! and you have to buy on wednesday, I think. they usually are only open one day before they shut down to keep up with all the orders!

Oh.. Good to know! That gives me time to browse what they've got at least. I've been going a little nuts ordering liquid and probably have at least a months worth between what's here and what's on the way.

From the reviews on the site their liquids are worth the wait!

I'm a tea fanatic. Is there a good Earl Grey liquid out there? I drink a lot of green tea as well, but don't know how that would translate over to a vapor. Seems too subtle..

Matt

Im an Earl Grey junkie as well, been looking for juices but none seems to measure up. Now im making my own, it smells & tastes just like a cup of fresh tea!
