Using an eGo C Twist, with an 306 1.5 atomizer/drip tip I just took my first vape of Heather's Heavenly Vapes Caramel Cappuccino. I'm using a brand new atomizer so I'm braking her in. I have my VV set to 3.4 which is giving me good vapor, and I'm getting a slightly stronger than subtle flavor.

I'm getting a scratchy somewhat harsh throat hit. The vapor juice is a 70/30 blend with 12mg of nicotine. I haven't de-bridged / de-wicked my atomizer as of yet because I wanted to know what the difference is.

Any suggestions? Will de- bridging / wicking help with this? I would like a cooler vape, with a throat hit that's not so scratchy / irritating and full of flavor. Also I don't want to damage my atomizer so what's the best voltage range for this LR atty?

If you want a cooler vape i can recommend you a protank but the harsh throat hit will stay its the pg male sure to drink plenty of water

Drink plenty of water, draw in a bit more air when ypu inhale in until you get used to the TH. Not real good with VV settings so will let someone else take up that question.

Are you new to vaping or new to your device? Both can take some adjustment sometimes to get what you want and don't want - but in different ways.

It seems like the harsh throat hit is something I will have to adapt to, and the water will help with the discomfort during the transition. Do I understand this correctly? or is there something I can do to lessen the discomfort like changing to a higher vg blend?

Well you can try a higher vg juice if you really cant stand it.

I do all VG. PG is crap and I hope they slowly start to take it out of all juices.

Heathers recommends higher pg juice blends for their juices. I was told by Adam that higher VG wouldnt work right in my tank even though Ive been vaping 10/90 pg/vg for close to a year now without any problems whatsoever.

It might just be his personal preference clouding his recommendations or worries about the customer complaining about loss of flavor...who knows?

If they wont blend the juice at the level you like find another vendor who offers higher vg and that harshness will go away.

Keep in mind too that quality control coming out of China on all these things is hit or miss most of the time.

I've had a brand new Protank head that hit harsh, and continued to hit harsh, no matter how much I used it (was waiting for it to 'break in', like you are), so I pulled it and rebuilt it, and now it vapes fine.

I just find it odd that you're getting a harsh throat hit with 12mg nic in the PG/VG ratios you're describing. I have my Protank loaded with 24mg Desert Ship 100% PG liquid, on a cotton wick, and I only get a harsh throat hit if I'm really pulling on it, otherwise it's the normal 'kick' you'd expect at these concentrations.

I hope you get it figured out though... the first month of vaping seems to be trial and error, as you get used to how everything is 'supposed' to work.

Try roar vapor they will mix it pretty much any way you like. 100% VG has almost no throat hit though.

I'm grateful for everyone's response.

I debridged/dewicked my 306 atomizer and it's allot better. I'm getting great vapor production with the 70/30 blend, and the flavor is much better although still not as strong as I would like it to be. Also the more I drip the more the level of harshness goes down. I guess this is just part of the transition from analog cig's to a PV.

I tried the same ejuice in my Protank and it's allot cooler (not cold) which I like, and I'm getting better vapor than with my atty. The flavor is still not as strong as I would like but I have a feeling it's due to the ejuice I'm using. I'm going to get some more ejuice from another company and see if there's any changes. Even though the flavor is not where I would like it to be it's still far better than a analog cig.

All in all I'm pleased with my purchases and would recommend all the hardware I bought to anyone new to vaping. It seems that it's now all about the hunt for my perfect vape

So just ordered my first vaporizer, a Joyetech eRoll I know the sensation is going to be much different then cigarettes, I have experience with a vaporizer of another nature, a Magic-Flight Launch Box which is used for "herbal substances" I don't know if anyone has experience with both types of items but if anyone does, is hitting the eRoll going to feel essentially the same as hitting my Launch Box?

Oh Baby, Vermillion River is one of my go to always type vendor! I have 4 or 5 regular musts from them, Caramelized Cappuccino, Butter Rum, Kentucky Peach, Fruit Stripe Illusions and a few others.
