the 'D' in bdc is for dual coil and it should be interchangeable with the correct tank...I think

And the b is for bottom. For example, the protank2 is a single bottom coil clearomizer, or bcc, and a protank3 is a bottom dual coil. Either if these will work on an MVP. BUT, the replacement coils are not interchangeable.

If you got the 101vapes MVP v2 kit, it comes with an iClear 30 Top-Coil Clearomizer.

As far as BDC and BCC, I don't think the heads are interchangeable, but either kind will work on an MVP (Example: Protank 2, Protank 3, EVOD, Unitank, Davide Glassomiser, Puritank etc), provided they are 510 connection. Well, 99% of everything is 510 so unless you're trying to mix some strange devices together you shouldn't have a problem. With both kinds you have interchangeable heads:

This is a Protank head. They also work on EVOD. EVOD heads also work on Protanks. I believe the BDC (Bottom Dual-Coil) heads are separate from the regular version. I've heard they aren't interchangeable but I cannot 100% say, I don't own a Protank 3. The heads you will want to change after they stop performing as well, this can vary from user to user, juice to juice. With a nice clear juice, good maintainence, you can have a head last 2-3 weeks+. If you're using a dark, sweet, 100% VG juice and chain-vaping it like crazy... probably will only last 2-3 days. YMMV

Cleaning can be different from tank to tank, I generally give mine a good soak in some vodka and let air dry for a few hours. You can search YouTube for many videos/guides how to clean your tanks just search "how to clean your [insert device name]."

Check out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aab99QhW5Ww for a general idea of how they work.

Hope that helps!

I can't answer that, I'm sorry, someone that has both of these coils and tanks would have to answer that

I think (?) that a dual coil would definitely burn through more liquid. Just using my powers of deduction would lead me to conclude that having 2 coils heating liquid you would get more vapor production while at the same time using twice as much liquid. If you are currently happy with your single coil, stick with it. If you want to explore what a dual coil does for you, besides using liquids up faster, just get one to play with.

It takes a while to figure out what all the acronyms mean. After a while it does all sink in. ;)

BCC stands for bottom changeable coil; all of Kanger BCC lineup (except for the T2) are BCC clearomizers, and that includes ProTanks V1-2.

Aspire and Protanks 3 are BDC--bottom dual coil--clearomizers.

That said, the coil setup has nos nothing to do with thread compatibility--they are all either 510 (Protank, Aspire ViVi Nova etc) threaded or eGo threaded (mini ProTank, eGo threaded Aspire etc.), which means they will all work on the MVP.

The dual coil tanks will produce a warmer vape. The single coil is a cool vape.

I prefer a cool vape, but I think the warmer vape is closer to a cig for some folks.

If you get a dual coil, you will have twice the coils to replace when they go bad (at least I think, can anyone confirm? I am assuming both coils would be replaceable)
