I think it is the stem.

I don't know for sure tho......Order one and change out the stem to see?

It seems to work but read this thread.... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/discountvapers/467169-mt3s-vs-evod-heads.html

Cheers

Edit. It's likely won't work. see picture I found.

You've lost me, mate. Maybe u can explain it to me as if I were 3?

I have replacement coils here that I can't figure out if they're evod or MT3 ... I'm abt 75% sure they're evod though. I dont suppose theres a way to tell if they arent side by side?

Man, the main reason I got them was because I thought they were interchangable :(

Edited to add: I DO know that the T3s isn't compatible, just confused abt the regular old T3

Ok, to tell the difference between a PT/EVOD head and a T3s/MT3s head:

Right under the wick there is what looks like a round flat metal washer. That washer has a small o-ring underneath it. That metal washer is larger on a PT/EVOD head that it is on a T3s/MT3s head. If you put a PT/EVOD head on a T3s/MT3s base, the metal washer is too large, and you can feel it extending over the part of the base where it is supposed to be making flush contact.

If you look straight down at the two different heads side by side you can see the difference in size of the metal washer. If you put a PT/EVOD head on a T3s or Mt3s base you can feel it. If you run your fingernail up underneath the mounted coil and it catches on the metal washer you but the "big one" on the wrong base. It's not a subtle difference.

T3S heads can be used in any of Kanger's BCC systems, and if you have the T3S base, the base and head will fit in a standard T3/MT3/T3 Mini. Kanger has since the advent of the Protank 2/Mini Protank 2, actually before their release, made it where replacement Evod and Protank heads are both the same. The original Evods had a shorter chimney, and a narrower air flow on the bottom positive post pin. Protank heads will work in Protanks, Protank 2s, Mini Protanks, Mini Protank 2, Mini Protank 2 V2, and Evods. Evod heads will work in all of the devices the Protank head works in. T3S heads will work in any Kanger BCC or tank that uses the Kanger Protank/Evod head, and with the T3S base can convert an older V1 T3/MT3/T3 Mini to a T3S/MT3S/T3S Mini.
