I was going to make a joke here but I decided against it...........

Precise 16340: .72" X 2.91"
Precise 18650: .78" X 4.09"

Hope that helps...

As far as the batteries the 16340 I use are the AW 550mh Batteries. I get about 4 hours before I notice a change. I rotate 4 batteries.
The 18650 Batteries AW 1600mh should last you all day. I always switch my batteries in the morning. So they might last longer but I don't do that.

Of course your results may vary. ;-)

Thanks for doing my math for me, Martin. Can you tell me the difference you see in power between vaping the P16 and P18? Is the P18 considerably stronger?

Its should be very very close to the same as long as both are using 3.7v batteries. I do not think the p18 will be any stronger it is just going to last longer and you can use at 6+volts which would obviously be much stronger.

Exactly!

A 3.7V device vapes like a 3.7V device when all things are equal. We see far too many reviews stating the opposite. IMHO its all hooplah, fanfare and marketing.

We will not compare other devices here, we will just compare the Precices. Outside of weight and length they are identical devices, and will vape the same whether using the IMR 16340 or the IMR 18650 or LI-Ion 18650. All have the capacity to deliver the current to the atty, especially LRs.

Regardless on the current available to fire the atty, the atty draws current from the battery. If the battery has the capacity to meet the demand (which all 3 batts do) then there is no problem or noticeable difference. That being said...

When the battery is underrated for the application, e.g a normal 16340 powering a LR atty, then yes there will be a noticeable difference, even in the "same" device e.g a P16 because the battery is stressed. Not only will the battery inadequately provide sufficient current to the load, battery life will also be affected in terms of use between recharges and overall life.

Therefore, because the 18650 battery (IMR or not) can handle any atomiser, it will hit harder because the battery is never stressed. In this case, the LI-Ion is selected over the IMR for battery life between recharges.

In answering your question, when the proper battery is used for its application, there is no difference between the 2 devices, except:
  • on has the capacity of vaping at 6V;
  • the P18 is longer and slightly heavier;
  • the P18 will be heavier with batteries when compared to the P16; and
  • anything else is purely subjective and speculation IMO.
