between the thick gold band and no gold band 510 atties?
Varies with vendors. Eg. Janty wide band have a better warranty than the thin band ones. Some people think that the 'heat sink' aspect of the wide band makes the atty run cooler (while making the touch hotter) but no tests on that I know of. But check the warranties if a vendor offers both. Sometimes it's just a styling choice.
