Thanks State! Some good info and observations. Yes! I too thought folks would be all over this one!
I guess the next similar response he gives will make the person feel belittled... practically same scenario, different reactions from the Original Posters...flux is my dude..has caused me some trouble at home with his recommendations, but I'm blaming qorax for my current situation..:)

My favorites..magma. If you drill outlet to equal at least 3mm, it is the supreme thing. But I've been using a tobh lately..lot more throat hit.. easier to redrip.

One I don't see going away is the origen..solid out of the box.

Omega is another favorite.

Veritas, cats, clt, quasar are some I really want.. no doubt in my mind about getting a 454.

There are so many 3 post attys out there today, and likely more on the way. After a while, they're all about the same, aside from the look and the hardware. I have a $30 Igo W5 that vapes every bit as well as my $90 Tugboat. I'm kind of a collector. But the only attys I'm buying lately are the ones that bring something different to the table, like the Magma or the Viking. I'm looking into the Eclipse. I haven't pulled the trigger on one yet.

One new development in heads that I really like are the "pump-drippers", like these:

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1777100 (still on the boat from china)
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1754802 (Love these!)
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1694900 (Different style, not quite as good IMHO, can leak a bit)

The concept is great, though; the liquid is sealed in the tank, and you can dispense more liquid by pushing down on the drip-tip. A great cross between a dripper and a tank.

The 3D is pretty cool too, but not IMHO as good; it floods the wick chamber from below, then drains out the excess. (basically a self-contained bottom-feeder). It's a real bear to coil though, cause of the way it is designed. While you're trying to tighten the top post, the bottom unscrews, etc.

Anyway, thought I'd mention these since they actually are fundamentally new designs, different than any of the other heads out there (at least to my knowledge).

I got a 3-D a while back and my first build I was underwhelmed, played with it a bit and got the hang of it. Don't use it very often and it mostly sits around leaking. I suppose I'll get around to using it again sooner or later.
