What's the correct way to steep my eJuices? Some people say leave the top on some say the bottle needs to stay open. The majority of people I talk to say place the ejuice in a dark cool place. Some say to lay the bottle on its side. Which one is it? Please help with your knowledge. Thanks in advance!

Basically, the juice needs to wait a while. No one really knows whether it should be with the top off or shaking or whatever. Basically, the gist I've gotten is that flavors need to mix for the full flavor to come out. That is what the shaking is for. Otherwise, tops on or off, it's just an old wives' tale.

There is some quick method where you like put the bottle in a bag and then run the bag under warm water. I don't know much, but if you search steeping you'll find it.

I let my juice go one night (normally the night I get it in the mail) with the top off after a good shaking. Then next day I'll place the top back on and continue shaking it once a day after smelling them. If it smells better/sweeter/less sweet ect then I know the flavors are coming together like they should be.

Some of my juices have gotten good only after a few days, some are taking a week and sometimes even longer depending.

It seems like everyone has different opinions, most with minor variations. When I first practiced steeping, I assumed leaving the caps off was a bad idea as PG and VG are hygroscopic, and I didn't want my juices to absorb any sort of moisture outside of the bottles. Now that I've been at it a while, I find that they do in fact steep much better with the tops off for some time. I don't always find time (or remember) to shake my bottles, but it doesn't seem to matter too much as they usually turn out fine if I leave them alone for the most part. I'm sure shaking does help to speed the process along a bit, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary.

So tops off in a reasonably dark environment is all you really need, in my experience. Some liquids take less time to steep than others, so give 'em a good whiff once in a while to see if you notice any changes in smell. If you have a dripping atomizer on hand, it's convenient to sample a few drops every once in a while, too.

I don't leave the caps off only because i'm pretty sure i would end up spilling it. But I do as mentioned above give 6 or so squeezes to purge/replace the air, shake the living daylights out it once or twice a day for a week. But i also think simply time may do the trick on its own, so along with the squeeze and shake method I try to stay at the very least 6 weeks ahead on my juice supply.
