What's the Right One for Kayaking/Camping?

I just bought my first rba and absolutely love it. It's perfect for home and work. My question is for when my kayak fishing season begins. What is the best machine for kayaking/fishing/camping? I won't be able to charge anything and I don't want to drop my nice one in the river. I was thinking maybe just a couple simply disposable e-cigs, or trying that Blu one...Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Last season my eGos broke so I bought a pack of smokes, trying to avoid that this year. Thank you for your help

Cheers

How about an inexpensive 18650 Mech mod?

a) Durable, since it's just a metal tube and a switch
b) Water won't damage it, since there's no electronics
c) You can carry multiple 18650 batteries (in a case!) so you can bring enough to last the whole trip.
d) Unlike the disposables or blus, it's actually a real piece of vaping equipment.

You can get a bunch of CE4, EVOD or other inexpensive heads; if you lose or break one, just grab another.

My Vision Spinners have been pretty durable. I'm a kayaker myself and usually just carry mine around my neck on a lanyard. Although I doubt any pv out there can be totally waterproof mine have been dropped, splashed, and even dropped in the sink once directly under running water while cleaning coils.Personally I would take an ego style or two per day so if something happens you won't be out a whole lot of money.

Lol the VTR is quite unwieldy, I would suggest a simple mech mod with a stash of batteries (18350 or 18650 depending on how big is too big for you to want to carry) and a decent all metal tank. Just bring some liquid around if you think you'll run out. As long as everything is screwed down tight a little water and some light drops shouldn't hurt much. I've taken an eGo 900 and vivi mini with me on outdoor trips and it's held up fine though.

A simple cheap mech would have high survivability and low value. It will survive bring dropped on rock or dunked in water. It won't break your heart, or your wallet, if a grizzly runs off with it either :)

I would take a 5-pack of cheap CEn tanks. No dripping needed, no glass to break. Again it's no big deal if trashed or lost.

The O.C.
get a waterproof lanyard pouch and pack it with whatever will fit in it.

I kayak fish too and use an Ego Upgrade w/an Evod, on a lanyard. It's gets light splashes and works great. On this setup I use a much higher nic level too. That way I don't have to hit it as often which saves battery life too. How long do you plan to be away from electricity? What do you plan on using on shore?

EVOD, CE4, CE5, CE6 are all heads that can be just tossed around and are pretty inexpensive. Of these, the EVOD's are most likely to survive a real beating (although the top plastic tip can break off if you really whack it). None of these should leak, regardless of the orientation. My favorite (of these) is the CE5-R which is a bottom-coil, but looks like the rest of the CE's (which are mainly top-coil).

Some have suggested a lanyard; I'd be cautious about putting anything on a string around my neck in a kayak! (but a lanyard tied to the kayak itself ought to be fine.) Also, if you have something relatively weighty (like a mech mod) make sure it isn't going to bounce up and hit you in the face! Course, if you're not doing white-water this is probably less of an issue?

We had an awesome time when we were snowed in here down south. Kayaking down frozen streets. I highly recommend it.

All amazing suggestions...thank you so much! One small bit of clarification. My current setup and build has to be upright at all times. I'm still not clear on all the different builds. I was hoping for something that can be tossed around a little, and placed in varying positions

Another vote for a REO Grand, best all in one package, insane durability (seriously you can't break one), easy to fill from any old bottle, best zombie apocalypse (I mean camping) mod period.

Oh and you can throw it around all you like, no leaks ever, no vacuum to rely on to keep it wicking and not flooding.
