What is the trick to filling the Revolver 702 carts? Everytime I fill one, we pull the fill out, put a couple drops of e liguid, put the fill back in, couple more drops, put it back togther - take a drag - and we get a mouthful of juice. 8-o
It sounds like I am smoking a ....... what are we doing wrong?
The fill is sooo small in there. Do I add more than what comes with them? What's the gig?

To refill mine.. I push the inner cart up using an unbent paperclip through the mouthpiece hole. I don't remove the inner cart.

I take the same paperclip and run it down the side of the filler... making a hole that runs down to the base of the inner cart. This allows air to escape.

I slowly drip in my liquid. Depending on drop size.. usually about 8-10 drops. You can tell when it is full.

I take the end of the paperclip and pull the filler up until it is flush with the top of the inner cart.

I carefully push the inner cart back down using one of the silicone plugs. (Or something else that won't push on the filler)

Done.

Use Scottbee's filling technique, but push the flavor cart all the way out of the mouthpiece and twist up a paper towel to get excess liquid out of the mouthpiece. Also, dry the outside of the flavor cartridge and then reinsert.

A 702 should be able to take 7-10 drops of liquid when dry and in order to hit the polyfil and not the sides, you should push up the cartridge, so you can see what you're doing.

8-10 drops - wow - that is a lot more than I thought I could use. I think I pulled a real newbie move and put filler in a cart that had no inner cart in it. All that was there was the outer cart and the filler. I think that was a huge problem. So I do know now that there is an inner cart. How much filler do you put in them? Thanks for the advice. I will try these steps!:thumb:

Thanks to both of you for the advice. I am going to try both methods. I even had one of my carts (the one attached to the second atomizer) leak in my PCC. That was a drag. I think I just put too much juice in it. Still trying to get the right amount of fill in there to absorb the juice.
Do you get the gurgling sound a lot with the 702's?

I never bother to push the inner cartridge up or take it out. I just let 4 or 5 drops go right down the center of the cartridge every time I top it off. I put the cartridge back on and hold it vertical for a minute to let any juice that may have got around the inner cartridge to drain into the atty. Never had a problem doing it this way.

These are instructions for topping off or refilling used carts. I just got a bunch of new unfilled carts. Almost 20 drops of liquid to fill them up. These were not the XL carts that just came out for the 40X series.

I was very surprised at how much they actually held before I beat up on the polyfil.

There's your problem... the atty doesn't ship with a cart on it. That's an empty protective shell- the same piece of plastic that's used for the outer shell of an actual cart, but you're not supposed to just wad up polyfill and use that.

The carts actually have a small inner chamber that slides into the mouthpiece and is prefilled. You can either purchase these with liquid already soaked into it (like the 5 included with a m702 pcc kit) or you can get "blanks" that are ready to have eliquid added.

I personally like sliding the inner cart up with a paperclip or similar and pushing a thin syringe needle down the side next to the polyfill and injecting the liquid from the bottom up. When it wells up slightly, pull back a little and level it off. The fill should reach at least the top of the cart, I actually let it come up just a hair over with good results.

If you want to put an atty back in it right away, touch the atty wick to the surface for a moment and let it wick up a bit, then use that to gently slide the inner cart into place. You can also use the rubber plug that came with the cart and it will push down on the edges (hence no overflow).

This should limit the liquid you get in your mouth, though many people seem to find that less and less disconcerting as time goes on (and condensation will still occasionally happen, though in much smaller volumes).

hi guys. i want to comment on this. its actually quite easy to refill an elite/401 cart. were working on a tool to make it even easier. the process is simply pushing up the tiny cup to the top/large opening of the cart by sticking a paperclip or something similar thru the tiny hole in the mouthpiece. then add a few drops of liquid and push it back down. when you think of the money you will save by using eliquid, you will see that it really is pretty simple AND beneficial.

We do that. We push it up with the paper clip and we clean the poly fill.
After a short amount of time though, it tastes like I am smoking a burnt stuffed animal. Can you not reuse the fill too often. Do I need to clean the atty? How?

The burnt taste is the poly-fill/fluval or whatever they put in at the factory. Its basically standard pillow-stuffing. It dries very quickly and that is where you get the burned taste. I have a 510 right now and I removed all of my polyfill from my carts and replaced it with blue foam. The blue foam is Marineland aquarium foam size U. For a 510 atty you cut the foam 1/4 inch wide by 3/4 inch long and fold it into a U shape, fill your cart to the lip where the air vents are on the side, and put the foam in rounded end first so it is flush with the top of the cartridge. Done.
