so i have a fairly new Ego T and it works great! so far i havent had any problems with it until now.....
i have 2 bats, 1 a 650mah and the other a 1000mah. the first few charges i got about a day on the 650mah and a little more than a day on the 1000mah. today i was using my 650 and it started to blink so i switched to my 1000 and put the 650 on the charger. it blinked like it should and the light on the charger was red. i used the 1000mah for maybe 3-5hr of on and off vaping and it starts to blink. i thought that was a little short but swaped it out for the 650 that now showed a green light. i take maybe 3 draws off the 650 and it starts to blink like its dying!! 3 draws?? ok 650mah should last longer than that! im still waiting for my 1000mah to charge but i hope it last longer than it did on the last charge. i also plan to call cignot where i got the kit (actually kits one for a family member) and see what they say but i suspect i have a bad battery and maybe even two bad batteries!! that sucks!

has anyone else had this problem?

Your batteries and/or charger may just be having a bad day.

I've had that happen with my 900 and 1000 mAh batteries here and there, but it's been very rare. You got the sensor in the battery, shutting it down if the voltage goes too low. You got the circuitry in the charger, monitoring voltage and turning off to prevent damage... Lot of electronics going on and occasionally it just gets something wrong.

One time one of my 900 mAh batteries blinked away, indicating it needed a charge. Connect it to the charger and BING! - charger immediately says it's fully charged. Disconnect - nope, battery is definitely dead. Reconnect, disconnect and repeat that process three times and a miracle occurs - the charger now "sees" the battery is depleted and needs charging. That kind of episode hasn't happened again. But it did happen. It was an isolated - yet weird - incident. And I was an inch away from contacting Cignot too until it charged and behaved itself.

If your problem keeps repeating then that's something else. But I'm betting you ran across an isolated incident.

thanks for the replys guys.

you may be right and i hope it is an isolated issue. i did send cignot an email but i will update them if anything changes. i will agree with cignots service. it is top notch and i have been very pleased so far (i let vicki know that as well). that was one of the reasons i ordered from them and spent over $200 bucks on 2 ego-t kits and accessories. ill also update you guys here with how it turns out. if anything i will be ordering another battery or 2 just in case for the future and possibly a spare charger.

Before you go on a "battery splurge" couple more questions/issues:

The instructions really don't spell this out, but connect the battery then plug in the charger. At the end of the charge cycle unplug the charger, then disconnect the battery. Any Li-on charger should be smart enough to detect when a battery has been removed and another battery has been inserted, even if the charger has remained plugged in. But do have the charger unplugged when you attach the battery. Removing power from the charger just guarantees the charger circuitry has reset itself between battery charges.

One thing I sorta don't care for about the AC/USB power adapter that comes with the Joye kits is that the USB jack on it could be a little more tight fitting. Make sure the charger cable is seated in the AC/USB adapter as best as it can be.

And that charger cable is very short. I think most of us tend to dangle the batteries off the the cable plugged into the adapter. There's not one outlet in my apartment where the battery would rest on a counter top when plugged into an AC outlet. My only option would be to charge plugged into a power strip on the floor - hardly convenient. I'm thinking of getting the shortest USB extension cable I can find (which will probably be 3' long...) to stop that "pull" on the power adapter just from the weight of the charger and battery dangling from it.

I put my battery in a custard cup on the counter. The battery sits on an angle in the cup and rests against the edge of the cup while it's charging. That way there is no pulling on the charger. I'm used to it now but your comment, Rick, reminded me how surprised I was when I got my first kit and that cord was so incredibly short. Unbelievable, isn't it?
