hey all
i just got my ego 1000mah battery but it seemed to only last bout as long as my 650mah....so the question is.
the 1000 mah is a pass thru battery and what is the best way to charge it??? should i use the usb cord to charge it or can i just plug it into my original wall charger the 650 came with???
i pluged it in the wall charger to charge it fully and used it and its lasted about the same as the 650.so just wondering if it needs to be charged using the pass thru usb cord only or it woudlnt matter.....
thanks

Where I usually am
Yup... I have one to. I noticed the same thing as well. Only mine was not a passthru batt. Only my 650mah is. Just charge it the way the manufacture recomends. Let it charge all nite and then see what happens the next day. I did and still,..lasted just as long as my 650mah..I have 3 of each to!! IT IS WHAT IT IS..! Now I use the Provari

I have an xpower 900 (which is an ego clone) and the 900mah batts on this last me 36 hours. I'd say i'm a 5ml a day man.
Sometimes it'll last me the full two days........well pleased.
You might find that after a few weeks of use (discharge...charge....discharge....charge) the battery will start to last longer. Mine seem to have got stronger. My wife has the same kit and hers last about the same as mine.

i dont kno which one would be stronger...i would think the wall charger would work best?...woudlnt it??

Hi and welcome to ecf...
Unless you have a tower computer, then yes I would recommend the wall charger,,,,,I have heard the the laptops cause problems and can sometimes burn the usb port out......

MM If you want to risk the x box. I only plug charges to equipment I know I can replace and fix. Where did you get the pv from? I would e-mail CS and ask. I have inferno and had that same question. I was wondering if my 650 PT can be charged using the threaded end using the charger for the 1000mah battery. They said I can so I did. But since making a 3.7V and a VV box mod, I haven't touched them.

.....^that's^ what i've heard as well....please be careful if you're going to use your laptop!!

btw, i have an ego 1000 passthrough, and it doesn't last even half as long as my regular ego 1000 batteries, regardless of how i charge it, lol...however, it is an EXCELLENT passthrough...i've had it for several months now (the dinky, generic 510 passthrough i had broke within the first *week*).

My 1000mah batteries average 24hrs between charges. Not 24 hours of continuous use, but 24 hours before they HAVE to go back on the charger. These are not passthroughs though. I charge mine via USB on my desktop tower and occasionally on the car charger. If you're not getting at least 12 hours, I'd send them back. And if they won't take them back, then find another, more reputable vendor. Regular batts can't handle the amps from a fast charger meant for the mega batts and USB ports on most laptops can't handle the fast chargers also because of the high current draw. The safest bet is a wall charger or a car charger.
