This may or may not help:

  • Clean all battery contact points in your Vamo with 90% isopropal alcohol. Also the battery's contacts points, too. Any film, dirt, or carbon deposits can interfere with conduction.
  • Check the threading of the battery cap. If dark or gritty (the threads should look shiney and new), apply some antioxidant to the threads, work it in with a cloth, and remove. May take a couple of applications. The battery cap is part of the electrical circuit, and any dirt or oxidation in the threads can also interfere with conduction. I use Noaloxx antioxidant. It can be found at most hardware stores in the electrical department.

If your batteries are Sony IMR us18650v3 IMR 2250mAh, those should be pretty high quality batteries. Not sure what charger FastTech uses in their Vamo kit, but an upgrade to one of the nicer Nitecore i2 or i4, or XTar chargers might be indicated. Battery Chargers @ RTD Vapor.

Great tip! Electrical grease from auto parts store (just a tiny bit) can keep good contacts threads and battery contact inside of the MOD. Put it on like you would a lip gloss! after wiping clean.

Cheers
