Whats With All The Vapor?

I started vaping with what I believe was 100% PG Juice (E-Liquid).

From reading through the ECF I believe that VG produces more vapor than PG.

I just tried out some samples of 50/50 PG/VG juice.

My thoughts so far;

When using the higher VG juice I was blowing out such a big cloud of vapor that I'm waving it away with my hand to clear the air.

I feel that if I vaped this juice in a public place that I would draw to much attention. I would prefer less vapor production especially since vaping is so new to the general public. I would also imagine that it would be hard to stealth vape with this much vapor.

I know, use less VG or pure PG. My point being is that I read through the forums, watch the youtube videos, and all you hear over and over is about how the vapor production is great. I've even commented about good vapor production in a past post. I don't understand why vapor production is so important when using E-Cigs or in the reviews.

IMHO I really don't see the benefit of more vapor. (with the exception of making awesome smoke rings)

Can you please share your thoughts about the hype over more vapor production.​

I think that it's more important to some people than others. You should go with what you like the most. It might be entirely in my mind, but I feel like more vapor gives me a fuller feeling in my lungs, which I enjoy. On the other hand, I definitely don't want the huge, voluminous clouds of it that many others seems to strive for.

With me I don't care as much about how much vapor I get I care about the throat hit if I'm not getting a good TH then I'm not satisfied.

Me too, I thought the vapor cloud would be something important but I have found TH and nic amount account for a lot more of it.

I also thought I would only like the tobacco flavors as the others sounded kinda ridiculous. But guess what - CottonCandy 16 from Madvapes rocks and has been my main vape - go figure

I wouldn't vape if I couldn't blow out a huge plume. The visual experience is as important as the feeling and taste, for me.

plumes are definitely visually satisfying. I agree with Zal, though, more vapor = fuller feeling in the lungs. To me, this provides more satisfaction than TH.

So far, my preference is for an amount of vapor on par with a cigarette. If it is less than that I feel like something is missing from the whole process. But I wouldn't want much more vapor than a cigarette puff.

A mix of pg and vg juices are always good for vapor and TH.

80/20 pg/vg has become my favorite mix most of the time. nice TH, good vapor production

TH means nothing to me and I used to smoke 60 unfiltered RYOs a day.
Lung hit is everything, as far as I'm concerned, so I use 100% VG.
Visually I don't care.
Seems we are all different.

It really depends on the situation. If I can have it with no fuss, no muss, then I want TH, tons of vapor and, most importantly, nicotine.

However, there are times where tons of vapor is not a good idea. For example, airplanes, malls, restaurants, etc. When in that situation, as long as I get nicotine and a decent TH all is well.

You will also be surprised about how much longer you can hold your breath in short order. That makes it easier to stealth vape.

(Just reviewing the OP's post, not the rest of the thread)

I'm an 80/20 PG/VG or 70/30 PG/VG type of girl. I love the throat hit, but the vapor is nice to see and even feel (slight feel, not a heavy lung hit like 100% VG is capable of giving). I love french inhaling and smoke rings.

I'll probably stick with 70/30 as the lowest PG.
