What's with the Silver Bullet 'Kit'?

I understand what you're saying to some extent, but if you had actually looked around on the site like you said you did, you would have figured out the answers to your questions.

Also, I think it's fair to assume that the vast majority of people who would purchase a SB have read information about it on the forums before going to the site to purchase it. These people would know that the SB is sold "a-la carte". They would also know it only supports a 510, but they would also know that Rob sells adapters to make it a 901 or an 801 also.

I'm done here. I'm not trying to insult you, but there's no reason to lash out on a Supplier because you weren't able to follow a simple ordering technique. (in the public section of the forums, no less.)

edit: It alludes to building your own kit where it says, "Includes - 1x Silver Bullet (510) Does Not Include - batteries, Chargers, Atomizer, etc."

For someone new to using PVs buying a mod that is made to handle various options for varying preferences can be very intimidating since one doesn't know for sure what all they would need. If that is the case he does have a contact us tab where you can submit any questions or you can purchase a Yeti starter kit which comes with everything you would need.
Sorry for your frustration thewomenfolk hopefully Rob has contacted you and gotten everything straightened out.

MCL - the purpose of this forum is to help one another. I am just as big a fan of Rob's (and the SB) as you are. If you want to help Rob out - try to be helpful to potential customers. Answering them in a condescending tone will just send them elsewhere.

I have a Silver Bullet from the first batch - SB016 - to be exact. I have not been to the site in a while. Last night, I went to the site to try to help out thewomenfolk. Sorry, but I got confused and thought something was wrong. The site has changed since I ordered mine. I actually ordered a predefined kit.

The SB is a solid mod. I enjoy it very much. YOu wont regret your purchase. You will find that the 510 attie works better with the SB.....Chad could easily explain why. If your a dripper dont worry the SB is completely sealed so no need to worry about the liquid getting onto the switch. The idea to build your own SB kit is a good thing. this will allow you to choose what you want. Of course if you dont have another mod...

Hey ROB.....

I think it would be a cool Idea to have at least a basic kit to choose from on the sight but also have the option to choose how many atties and batteries you would want. Say NEWBEE SB kit. just have SB with 1 attie 1 charger and 1 battery maybe a (thing of carts optional) But also have your other choice as well say ADVANCED SB KIT you choose the options. Just an idea to help lower some of the stress.

Yes first release was a predefined kit. However, there are a lot of folks who already have the batts, chargers etc etc. I can see how it could be confusing to someone new to vaping.

After all this, I guess all I need is the bullet. I've got 510 atty's from my JOYE PV. I really like the 801 so maybe I could use that adapter. We'll see. Thanks for all your help.

For those who've bought Kits, we expect to see a Kit, not a bare bullet. Maybe I really did just miss it, but where does the site allude to "building your own kit"....

From your comments TWF, I have added to/edited slightly my listing in the UK - I hope this is clearer now? -

Please be aware that it is very difficult to get it right the correct amount of info in a listing without it becoming overloaded and convoluted for the potential customer... But for instance, under atomisers, where it says '510 Atomisers (RECOMMENDED)', that means exactly that; but you can also use 2 other options of atomisers as well, using them via the adaptors, and add them to the Kit, if you so wish.

This is also exacerbated with something like the Silver Bullet, which isn't really intended for someone who is just starting out in e-smoking (I wouldn't have thought...). One of the reasons for that is because of the amount of permutations of set-up that are possible for the Silver Bullet.

And to have on the product listing some kind of guide as to the nuances/advantages of certain types of atomisers, or whether to use carts or not, etc. would just not be practically possible. And much of that kind of thing is subjective anyway, and that's why the wondrous forum is the best place for it!

Toby, I think we're making the same point in a different way. But first, and important to me, is to clarify what you mean when you say "WTF". Are you meaning to address thewomenfolk, my user-name here, which would be the acronym TWF, or do you mean to say what you did, WTF, which often means on forums something quite different?

You're right, no PV site needs to educate the world about batteries and atomizers and carts and who thinks which are the best, but instead just to give their potential customers the basics they have to offer and all the extras they have in inventory that anyone might need. Whoever coined the phrase, 'keep it simple, stupid' probably said it best. So I think we do at heart really agree after all, don't we.

You will need more than just the SB device. You will also need to determine what voltage you wish to vape at and purchase the proper batteries and charger. For 3.7 volt vaping you will want the 18650 battery and for 6 volt vaping you will need the RCR123A batteries.

The 18650 (for standard 3.7v vaping, same as a regular 510 batterry) will last around 10-18 hours of vaping depending on how much you vape. The RCR123A batteries (for 6v vaping) last me 3 hours but i vape like a fiend.

On a side note: I own 2 of these SB mods and swear by it. I also own a Prodigy and it doesn't get used any more. The SB is "bullet proof" in comparison to the Prodigy. I had 2 switch failures within the first month of owning the Prodigy because it uses a cheap 1/2amp tactile switch. This problem has been eliminated in the Silver Bullet with the addition of a beefy 2amp switch. Get one, you won't be disappointed.

If you like to drip I highly recommend using the 801 on the SB and tailpiping that bad boy.
