I've read a few comments on the forum implying that Butter flavored juices might present some problems. However, I've seen no mention of what those problems are.

I recently received some Butter Rum juice and I like it but I'm a little hesitant to vape too much of it until I know what the potential problems are with the flavor.

Do I need to be careful with this stuff? If so, why?

Thanks.

There is an ingredient, diacetyl, which is found in some butter and custard flavors. When inhaled, it can cause some lung problems.
Here's another thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-please-keep-just-listing-supplier-names.html

Excellent! I think that answers my question.

I didn't see the maker of my Butter Rum on there (Mt. Baker Vapor) but I did check their website. They claim that all of their juices are diacetyl free.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, TheMaestro. Much appreciated!

As TheMaestro said, diacetyl can be found in both butter & custard-like flavors, so use caution ordering anything that is described as buttery or creamy from a supplier who DOESN'T advertise that their juices are diacetyl-free. It can totally pop up in juices you might not consider, and nobody wants popcorn-lung.
