What's wrong?

I recently acquired an Aspire clearomiser (I think?) from a work colleague who no longer wanted it. I've washed it out, bought a new mouth piece and have used her atomiser (BDC) that came with her set with no problems at all.

I went to the original shop and bought a BVC atomiser a week ago (the women in the shop said that the BVC is compatable) and thought I'd test this out tonight. Well, when I clicked the button there was a lot of gurgling and when I went to take a drag, it felt like there was liquid coming up the air tube and was very airy. So I took it all apart, cleaned the air hole and tried again... Same problem.

I've since put the original (BDC) in and it's working perfectly fine. I've noticed the BDC atomiser has a hole at the bottom, where as the vertical does not (it has one hole running through the bottom section, if that makes sense?)

What could be the problem?

What type of aspire atomiser do you have ?

Is there any writing at all on the clearomiser?

It has to be Aspire (presumably) if the shop sold you a BVC coil.

Aspire puts out two different BVC coils: one for the Nautilus's only and a shorter one for non Nauti use with their other tanks. The one for the Nauti's has a fine mesh screen with hole in center. The other, shorter BVC's have no screen. Also, check to see if they are authentic.

As far as I can see on this BVC atomiser that they sold me, it does not have a mesh at the bottom, it just has a solid base and also has BVC on the side.

Does it have 2 thin vertical windows you can see through and the bottom unscrews with the coil.
Long and thin like a ce4 if so sounds like its a ce5

As far as I can see on this BVC atomiser that they sold me, it does not have a mesh at the bottom, it just has a solid base and also has BVC on the side.

In that case, the coil you should have (and probably do) is small with a circular silicone washer which meets the chimney, unlike the Nautilus BVC which screws in and has obvious threads.

Unfortunately, it it looks like the picture in post #6 - Wolfenstark (thanks!) then, sadly, it will probably leak. ALL mine did. They are very poor tanks and bvc made them worse.

It doesn't look like those. The 'tank' section is totally clear. Am I allowed to post a picture of it from the shop/website I got it from? If not I'll try to take a picture of mine and the BVC atomiser that I have that is causing this problem.

By looking at it, and I assume you put the coil that works back in for the photo, they sold you the coils for the nautilus. If there are threads on the top of the coil, then you have the wrong one. No threads on top, then I'm not sure what wrong.

Yes. That's the 'bad' one. I bought two. You won't have any joy with those. It's possibly made worse by the fact that it was designed for the BDC, although I can't say for sure. The new ones, called Aspire BVC are exactly the same.... so the choice of coil probably makes no difference.

It was because of these that I looked into the Aspire ET-S instead. I had 2 packs of the coils, so needed a better tank.
Don't waste time on it.... I had to get by a week in China with 2 of these clearomisers.... I tried almost all the tricks in the book.
