I've had 3 atomizers die in in about a month and half from cignot. When the Janty atomizer comes in stock i'm ordering it. I think it's worth it. I also heard of a lot of people having good success with TW atomizers and having them last a long time.

I just received a couple of attys from TW, I'm fairly certain they're the same ones sold by Janty. They work great with the eGo/Tornado.

In 3 months Ive only had one Joye510 atty die on me. Maybe you need to clean them to get a bad burnt taste out. Try a 15 minute soak in crest pro health mouthwash with now alcohol and swish around alot. Then rinse with hot water blow out rinse with PGA or high proof Vodka to displace the water and dry. vape away and see if it changes the flavor for you

I tried soaking in Vodka and that didn't help, but I'll try the Crest Pro... bought some yesterday. The attys seem to burn too hot. Way hotter then the new 901 and 902 I just bought. What's odd is that I have one (out of 8 bought in January) that doesn't do that. They all came from the same place and I know they are authentic Joyes.

That bad burnt taste I have found is all in the cart itself, you have to clean your carts every once and a while. Are you using the blue foam mod? That has pretty much eliminated it for me.

I went out and got the Crest Pro Health - while it did a great job cleaning the atty, I'm still having the god-awful taste issue when I vape one atty for any period of time.

I soaked in vodka. I soaked in hot water. I used my hand held steam cleaner (which did an amazing job cleaning, but the issue wasn't dirty atties - I've only been vaping a month)

I don't run it dry, I top off my carts frequently, I've dripped, I swap out my batteries often... I have done everything and anything suggested on these boards and I am having the same problem as GoodDog and many others here.

They are authentic Joye 510 atties, and I am now trying to decide on what to buy next to alleviate the problem.

I believe these atties are running too hot. In another thread somewhere on the forums Scottbee posted pictures of the inside of an atty when run too hot.

If this is part of the problem with this batch of atomizers, it makes perfect sense. The plastic venturi hole is melting and fusing closed. It could be causing the bad taste, and the very hard draw I'm now experiencing on the 2 atties I am vaping on.

Short of taking one apart to inspect the venturi hole, I can't confirm what I suspect, but it sure does make a lot of sense.

So - I think what GoodDog, and myself are wondering is - What is the best alternative to Joye 510 atties? I now have lots of batteries, the PCC - tons of carts, and a bunch of nasty Joye 510 atties.

I purchased everything from cignot - and I will give them more business in the future, I in no way blame them for this problem. If Joye shipped vendors problematic 510 atties, the suppliers can't be blamed.

I'm just having a hard time deciphering what products are manufactured by who. (i.e. Is Janty manufactured by Joye? )

Thank you, Remie for saying it so well. I'm tired of explaining and trying to get an answer. I feel bad about recommending the 510 to so many new members after the problems some of us have had. And to those that haven't had any problems, great, congratulations, no need to let us know how unlucky we are, or how we need to clean our carts and attys!!

I'm going to add something here that apparently will not please some in this thread but I do it for those who may find it useful.

Vaping is a zen thing. It is not the same as smoking. Suck on a cigarette and you get a hard, fast hit..... draw slowly on a vaporiser and it will satisfy with time.

Vaporisers need time to allow the e-liquid to soak into the wick to be available to create vapor. Nice slowwwww draw. When not given that time the atty will feel hot and taste terrible as described in this thread.

Betty Davis would have tasted nothing but burnt/dry atty taste! 8-o

Remember....... not Betty Davis.... but... more like David Carradine in the series "Kung Fu".

A zen thing......... a "time to smell the roses" kinda thing.... which can prove difficult in this fast-paced-stressful-world-of-instant-gratification we are living in.

I had similar experiences with the 510... I changed over to 901's for most of my devices just because 1 out of evey 3 510's had the metal taste and no matter what I did it stayed... Crest bath, ultra sonic cleaner, it did not matter....

No issues whatsoever with the 901's since I switched... I hit my eGo/Tornado every now and then and one of the atty's that came with it had metal taste... I ordered the Mega 510 attys from TW and the 1st one I started using is great.. Have not tried the other mega attys yet but I would assume one of the 4 will have that metal taste that can't be rid no matter...

My .02 YMMV

You've obviously never had a bad 510 atty. It's different than a dry 510 atty.

The 901s definitely have a better taste than the 510s!! The only thing I notice is the TH isn't nearly as good. I use my 901 most of the day and when I need a good TH I use my 510 and immediately try to cover the nasty taste with a hit from my 901. I wish I could put what I like about each of them into one GOOD PV!

Please update us on how the TW mega attys work out for you. I thought of ordering some but don't know if they will work on a 510 or just with the eGo/Tornado ... or if they are really that much better considering the difference in price.
