I am now a dinosaur in the vaping world. My old standby is still the Mini Pro 2 with my Itaste VV3. I also have a mini nautilus which I pair with a 30w Istick. Through trial and error I have settle on 50/50 blend, 3mg nic, with the mild flavors. Anything else will make me cough. That is what 40 years of smoking does to a person. I tried to subohm but cannot take the warm vapor.

Toss up between the Griffin and Aromamizer V1. The one thing I don't like about the Griffin is, while it doesn't leak a drop, it's always "wet". Reminds me of my son's nose when he was a toddler...never runny but always filmy. :) Were it not for that, it'd be the Griffin.

But alas, an Aromamizer V2 is on its way. "Favorite" is such a transitional thing with me...

Same here on the hot vape which many call warm.
One can still subohm and not hot vape though. 26 ga at about .75 is a nice vape at around 20-30 watts.
I use 2 1 ohm 26 ga coils (.5 ohm total) in my velocity dripper. A nice slightly warm vape at 20-30 watts.

I get as much vapor at 12.5 watts in a Subtank MIni using 28 ga 1.2 ohms in the RBA deck as I do in a TFV4 using a .5 26 ga coil. A nice flavorful slightly warm vape.

Favorite RTA is a 'Kayfun Lite-Plus V2' clone. Excellent vape for a mouth to lung vaper like myself ... Have 3 of these clones made by EHPro. It's all I ever vape on anymore.

However, I used to own an authentic SvoëMesto 'Kayfun Lite-Plus V2', but I finally trashed it .... It was a flooding / gurgling POS no matter how it was wicked, or how many times I changed out the O-rings in it !

My sweetheart pictured below (1 of 3 of them):

Nothing wrong with any of that. Don't feel like a dinosaur.

I 'subohm' (hate that term) but I also tootle, even my kayfun is less than an ohm but only because the wire I use is low resistance SS430.

There is this mentality in vaping that makes people who don't keep up with the times feel inadequate, and rightly so because so many vapers are ignorant and comment negatively on those using an eGo with CE4 or other low power setups.

I'm not saying you feel inadequate, just your comment reminds me of how aggravating it is that people can make others feel bad because they don't lung inhale 0.2 ohm dual claptons @ 75 watts. Always feel good about not smoking, vape that Mini PT2 with your head held high.

The Nautilus Mini is a great tank, as is the Mini ProTank 2 (coils can be hit or miss).

Absolutely!!!
Whatever works for you do not feel that you must keep up with the crowd.
One reason that the "crowd" exists is just to sell more vape gear.

My last purchase was the Kanger Subox Nano. I used the 1.5 ohm and still had a problem. It was one of those I can do a little but it could not be my "go to vape". It is now in a box with 10 extra coils, just waiting for me to try again.

Thank you for the feedback. Up until four months ago I worked in one of our local vape shops. My co workers were pushing the cloud set ups and here I was still pushing the starter kits. I am older and knowing that I have done damage to my lungs, I am not embarrassed to just be a vapor but I am concerned that we are going to be phased out by the manufacturers. What started as a way to quit smoking has become very sophisticated and a little beyond me. I do feel that whatever keeps one off cigarettes is the best setup. I have sold the lower ohm set ups to 80 year olds and could look on in wonder as they produced the monstrous clouds with no coughing. Others are like me. We have to be careful.

I can do big clouds with no coughing, am 62 yrs old and a 40 yr smoker.
However I see no real purpose in it. I produce large clouds with 12.5 watts and I do not like a hot vape. I got a build in a TFV4 that took 30 watts to run and produced no more clouds than I do at 12.5 in one of my Subtank Minis using 1.2 ohm, 28 ga coil.
We need an efficiency rating on tanks. cc of vapor per watt?

My son uses .5 in his Atlantis or Triton with no problems. He only uses high VG and cannot vape anything higher than 3mg nic. I know that they have a Triton mini now that uses nautilus coils. I may have to buy one. I had bought the original Triton but again coughed so much I sold it one of my co-workers. Like I stated previously I know that I personally have probably done some damage to my lungs which may be part of the problem. The Doctor has cleared me of anything serious, says just allergies causing the problem. She also supports my vaping.
Kind of changing the subject...a lot of doctors were sending their patients in to buy vaping set ups so they would stop smoking. May not be a 100% validation but their opinion was vaping is a heck of a lot better than smoking. Right after my step father died I temporarily upped my nicotine due to stress. My doctor said "go as high as you want, just don't smoke". We had patients buying set ups before they would go to hospital for surgery. Some nurses would actually help them if the batteries needed charging of tanks refilled.
