I quit smoking over a month ago. I miss the act, but I am over the nicotine. I sit with the wife out on the patio doing nothing while she enjoys a smoke.

I know if I start vaping and I run out of juice, the risk of me picking up an analog is high.

So planning for the juice supply is critical. I hear 2ml per day is a good plan, and then just adjust as needed. Fine....but what if the unthinkable happens...I'm on the road and out of juice.

Solution....E-juice and E-cig sellers need to start listing a brick and mortar on their websites. I would rather drive 2 hours and pick up 10ml, then wait 3 days and possibly have to resort to smoking again.

How about e-cig activism? Do the vapers have access to the smoke-shop network and have we started lobbying to get them to carry juice?

As an example, (and please try not to judge here) I am also a big firearms 2nd Amendment supporter. In California that is very hard since we have some of the strictest laws on guns. On our website we have put together a goggle maps link that shows which gun shops carry what products. This is all user contributed. If I am new to firearms and visit the website, or in an unknown area, I can just click the link and find a gun shop that carries what I need. All it took was a call to local shops and ask a couple questions. Then post the answers.

If every member here was to call local smoke shops and ask if they carry juice, or post a mall store that sells juice. We could form a zip code / State -County / Country / Town / City searchable map list.

Vapers can start this by listing a local brick and mortar that carries what we need. The site Mods can then post a searchable goggle maps link in a sticky. Vapers now have real time access to accessories and juice. Newbies who come here could just drive to a local shop that carries kits and juice.

I know a lot of sellers must rely on e-sales, but you will gain local business as well.

Just a thought from a newbie.

Such a coincidence you mention this today. Yesterday I was telling my broker how excited I was about discovering vaping and he said he had a friend here in town who sells a few things, and has a website. If you order and you're local he is even willing to meet you somewhere or bring the items too you if you are close enough. I gave him a call and he said he has some items on consignment at a shop here in town. I think it's a great idea to have google map that members can pinpoint where certain items can be found locally.

Hi iJax -

It would be great to have more local suppliers. I think the major problem with this is the FDA scare. Most companies don't want to invest in the product when they don't know what is going to happen with the FDA case. Do think that once this case is settled we will start seeing ejuice and other supplies popping up in other places.

There are a few brick and mortars out there but they are few and far between. I have heard (although not near me) that some 7/11s have started to carry disposable 510s.

In the mean time I think the best option is to network with other local vapors so if you get an a jam you can contact one or more until you get your order.

Welcome to Ecf.. I'd like to see more shops too. There is a list I've seen but can't find it now.
Perhaps someone will post a link. e-cigs are fairly new and under a cloud of mis-information
and with the FDA ready to impound shipments whenever allowed, may not be a good place
for large investment that a brick and mortar shop could take.
So all we can do is stock up or move near one of the existing vape shops

A couple of problems: (1) most suppliers rely solely on internet sales & there are very few store fronts, (2) the uncertainty about what direction the FDA will take prevents many from investing in store fronts, and (3) the fact that, relatively speaking, there are still too few vapors in any given area to support a retail store. All of that aside, it would still be nice if someone would take the time to post and update a store front listing here on ECF.
