when exactly do you have to throw out a carto?

all the carto's that i have still give good flavor and a good amount of vapor, so i don't know exactly when i need to throw them out. info please?

Mine last an average of a week using a clear liquid ..

When they start to taste terrible or no longer can give any vapor, like get clogged etc. I have some that lasted me a month, some a week, usually depends on the ejuice I use. bnrk
