I'm a heavy vapor and I'm a week in to my first stardust. I'm not sure, but I may be sensing a little less vapor and the need for a harder draw.

When do I know when to clean it? What's the best/easiest way? I prefer cleaning over taking it apart, if that's a viable option.

I was wondering the same thing....except for rinsing...I try to dry burn a little, but can't see into it as I have the new one with the little spike under the tip and it's going ok but think it could be better.
Not sure if the dry burn is working or not.

I wouldn't want to be applying heat to plastic...

And as a side note, next time I do this I will be rinsing the coil after the dry burn. Tasted average for the first day.

I have one I cleaned that is tasting burnt, or like its burning too hot. I wonder if thats because I didn't rinse it after dry burning it. I had rinsed it before the dry burn. Wouldn't we need to let it air dry after rinsing?

rockinrobbie made a youtube video about how to do it, but it included taking the whole thing apart. here it is if you want to try it.
Gotvapes Stardust: Advanced Cleaning - YouTube

Beware though: THIS COULD BREAK YOUR BATTERY!!!!
Ok the disclaimer is out of the way

there are easier way of taking it apart instead of the way he does it in the video, i actually use a phillips head screwdriver, put the point into the lil metal cone inside of the starbursts tube, and then hold the entire thing with both hands and give it a whack against the table and it comes out pretty easily...

Very interesting... Are there any videos of this floating around? I think I know what your saying, but it seems like that could break something

Uh, I'm an idiot, I guess. Not into disassembling the thing. After burning one (1) with the dry burn technique (went too far and burnt the wick), I don't do that anymore.

I just rinse them out thoroughly several times (fill with very warm tap water, shake, empty, repeat, then soak for awhile (tap water), empty, soak again for awhile, empty, then let 'em dry (or sometimes not: when filled with ejuice, the juice eventually replaces whatever water's left in the wick after a few hits).

I've tried the same thing with distilled water, and in an ultrasonic. Doesn't seem to make any noticeable difference, to me.

My Stardusts last for weeks this way. Even vaping 100% VG like Boba's.

I suppose I could do the vinegar / baking soda thing. But why bother? Simple works fine for me.

Since nothing is known yet about whether this plastic contains BPA or not.....but it IS known that BPA is activated and off gassed by heat....I would have to agree 100% about either finding a different method...or rinsing the heck out of it after the burn.

Anyone tried just using PGA? (everclear) I need an excuse to buy a bottle.....LOL I love these things btw! I use them with an Akston Hughes. I've tried using an ego adapter with my VV boxmod but I think the adapter is adding too much resistance since I'm using the 2.9's. I suppose I could try dialing up the voltage...LOL
