When to change coil?

I have the sub box mini and I'm using the occ vertical .5ohm coil.

I used go change them every couple weeks as a precautionary measure because people told me that when they go bad it will taste terrible and I will know it for sure.

I've left the current one in for over a month just to see how long it will last, and it still seems to taste fine.


How do I know if I should change it?

If you're still getting good flavor from it, keep using it. No sense in wasting money. When the flavor starts to get muted, you'll know it is time to change. You'll feel like you have to keep turning the power up to get that same flavor and suddenly it tastes burnt.

As dumb as it sounds, use your own sense of taste, vape production and judgement.

Usually, if you Think it's maybe time to change coils, it probably is.

Another vote for when your tank loses flavor and vapor production. You should realise it before you start getting burnt hits, but if you don't you'll be able to vape at lower power until you have time to put in a new head.

Good advice all around here, and I'll add mine to echo what others are saying. Let your taste buds be your guide. If you notice a flavor change or a degradation of your vapor, change coils. If not, vape on!

One more to back up that theory. Taste! There is really no time limit since different ways of vaping, how often you vape with it, the thickness of your e-liquid, blah blah blah will vary the time span of your coils.

My coils seems fine all the time. It gets bad so slow that I notice the differencw only when changing to a new one...
