When the vapor and flavor starts to lessen, re-drip a little, just a few drops. Getting just the right amount to not flood and leak, and be enough to get a nice vape from it just comes with practice.

The joke around here back when dripping was on 510 and 306 atomizers was how much you were going to invest into tissue companies and how rich you would be....

So i just got back into dripping so i was wondering when is it nesscecry to drip cause i always seem to over drip and cause it to leak alot

i got a plume veil RDA

I don't have a Plume Veil, but here's what I do when I get a new RDA. Set up the coils high enough off the deck so you can see them centered or just a bit higher than that through the air holes in the cap. Wick the coils so the wick tails are just touching the deck. Get just the wicks saturated, with just a little juice on the deck. Fire it a couple of times to make sure all is well. Now count the drops as you drip onto the center post (as would be happening if you were dripping through the drip tip) until you have juice puddled on the deck, but not touching a coil and not past the top of the drip well wall. Put on the cap and vape until you notice less flavor. Take the cap off and look at what is left on the deck. Count drops again as you refill. Do this a few times and you should have a pretty good idea of how it works :)

The Plume Veil looks like it could hold at least 20 drops if it's really empty. My Mutation X can take 30 drops. My Trident takes about 10 drops max. After I fill I'm careful not to tilt the RDA with an air hole low while it's full.
