i stil have my first ones from about 10 months ago. still working fine but i rotate more them 2

it depends on how hard you vape, the voltage you vape at, and how good your charger is, as well as some brands just arent as good as others ( you didnt say what your using im guessing the aw's?).

im not sure about the 500's i only use 650's but im sure your charging every day?
which charger the provape?
i would check them with a meter as soon as they come off the charger and make sure they are 4.2 (4.19)v fresh.

some chargers are harder on the batteries then others, a slow charger may recondition them for longer use.

Same here. Have 4 in rotation for 3 devices, that gets them to wear down less quickly. Still I've found that one eFest 18350 shuts down before it gets to 26 in my eVic. I've had my batteries for 3 months, yet I wear them out quickly. The surest sign to know if the battery no longer holds charge is to note somewhere the amps for the battery, the hour you put in your mod and count. When it lasts a third of the time (a 2000 mAh battery should last you all day, a 800 mAh about 8 hours) could be time to change.

This is just anecdotal from experiences with my cell phone.

Even though Lithium Ion batteries are not supposed to retain a memory, If I constantly recharge my not completely discharged cell phone battery it will only last a day (instead of 3). I can discharge it till the phone dies, recharge it and it will come back to 3 day usage.

I have also heard that completely discharging a Lithium Ion battery will lessen it's life. So keep this in mind. But it is worth a shot once.

I've had three Aw IMR 18650 batteries for just over a year, they're almost as good as new, but I bought three more to add to the rotation about nine months ago, so that's six total batteries in my rotation.

I also have two Aw IMR 18490 batteries that I only use occasionally between both the standard and Mini in ext. mode. Both are about 9 months old and like new with more limited use.

I have six Aw IMR 18350 batteries that are shared between the Mini and two other mods.

I'm a firm believer that the more batteries that you have in rotation the longer they will last overall. Batteries benefit from a "rest period", and using them as frequently as the OP was will drastically shorten their expected lifetime.

I've had a Pila charger (2 bays) that I've had for over a year. And an Xtar (6 bays) for about a month. The Pila charges faster than the Xtar, and allegedly uses charging algorhythms designed to improve the overall lifetime of rechargeable batteries. Does it do that? Who knows, but I do know that its a very high quality charger and I'm glad that it's in my vaping arsenal. Worth the extra bucks.
