Where can one get flavors that rival those made by vape shops?

If you have FA, TPA, CAP, FW, or Inwera chances are, you use what the vendors use. It's all about the recipes. There are a lot of good recipe sites out there, including our own DIY section. Each flavoring company has their great flavors and not so great. The recipes will help you seek out the ones you need. Also, check out DIY or DIE on You Tube. He is great at breaking down the attributes of each vendors particular flavor. For example, Caramels, he describes which one is sweeter or creamier, etc.

It sounds like you're looking for flavors that will be used for only single flavor mixes, correct? You're not looking for the individual "flavorings" that you combine to use in a recipe of multiple flavorings?

If it's the first type that you're looking for (which is the easiest form of DIY and quite a few people do that), I've heard that OSDIY... Your one stop shop for flavorings ...has some really good One Shot Flavors and One Shot Blends. They come in 3 different sizes, too! Some people have said they only use 3-5% and it's great when mixed with their own PG, VG, and Nic. Others say they usually use about 10% of some of them to suit their taste.

I've seen people post about especially liking these One Shot Flavors from them: Blue Raspberry Slush, Strawberry Milk, Olde Time Root Beer, Pink Lemonade, and the Blue Pom. In the One Shot Blends...favorites seem to be: Lucky Shot and Blue Note.

One friend has raved enough about the Lucky Shot, that I'm going to try a bottle of it. I've always made my DIY eliquids by following a recipe or coming up with my own using many flavorings, but he's convinced me to try it.

If you're talking about mixing several flavorings to make your own mixed Flavor...I buy all mine at Wizard Labs. However, there are many places online to buy them. I just like WL because they're competitively priced, are great quality IMO, have a huge variety from many manufacturers, and their care in packaging and shipping is superb!

Whichever it is that you do though...I'd definitely stock up on nic base, preferrably the 100mg/mL Nic, so you can make the most finished bottles of eliquid out of it. Just make sure to freeze it for the best preservation. Many who DIY either already have, or are making sure they DO get, enough to last them for however long they think they're going to still be vaping. I have enough to last me 6-7 years already, at my current usage rate and 6mg nic level. I still plan to buy at least another liter of it!

You can do great things with concentrates from FA or TPA, for instance. There are loads of recipes around. If you're really patient, you can also do your own NETs.
Having said that, both Aqua and Nova have very nice Halo-like flavours. And there are manufacturers that also sell their own concentrates - personally, I like T Juice, for instance. Actually, it's the best way not to be let down.

Flavorings and flavors are subjective and I will reserve any comments on that. Nic stockpile......YES YES YES.

I've got 15 years worth in the freezer and another 15 years worth on its way to me in the mail as we speak.

I'll be stockpiling more as well. I plan to be the Pablo Escobar of nicotine someday! lol

Amazon. I got 125ml and 250ml brown glass bottles. They fit in the freezer around all the other stuff. I have a 125ml in a drawer that I pull from.

When I get a new flavor from one of the major sellers I put 3-4 drops in with 1ml of base. Shake like crazy and then put it in an RDA. Just to get a sense of the flavor. Some, I could vape individually, but, I tend to ponder and tinker.

Some peeps are happy with just a single flavor, and I have found some, too.

Thanks. I'll probably buy 3 gallons of 100mg/ml nic. That should probably last me awhile.
Not all nic tasts the same. Some is VERY peppery. Best to order in small quantities in the beginning until you find a nic base you like.

@dannyv45 had this to say about this thread: Nicotine Comparisons
It's funny how 185 pages can be summed up as follows.
  • MFS = Higher peppery taste
  • WL or RTS = medium peppery taste
  • NN or VT = Lower peppery taste
I use Nude Nicotine.
I heard it's better to store them in glass rather than plastic? What are some good source of glass containers?
