Where can someone smoke e-cigar in Germany

Hallo,

I am from Greece, but the last months i came to Germany (Gottingen) to continue my studies. I am user of e-cigar and i would like to ask if anyone knows where is not illegal to smoke e-cigar in Germany, because last night i was to bahnhof and the police came to me and said to me that is illegal to smoke there even if it is public place. Thank you a lot

my best guess is you should use your e-cig outside with the other smokers.
