You can get in many flavours. It does not totally eliminate the vapor just reduces it. Kind of like a bad atty or a week batty.
I really dont see the point but if you are trying to be inconspicuous, it nay be the way to go.

I agree, pretty much anywhere...... providing the establishment doesn't object, after all it is THEIR property.

Simple enough to educate yourself to properly explain it to an owner/manager and ASK their permission to avoid an objecting situation though. Its worked for me often doing that, and should they object....... I simply take my buisiness elsewhere...

I also really don't care what people want or don't want me to do. There is no harm in what I exhale, period. We live in a society out of control, ban foods from entire schools instead of separate lunch rooms for kids who may have an alergic reaction to seeing a milk carton or peanut, actully in a lot of cases I think it is the parents who have the reactions, fighting in hockey is bad, lets go to the boxing match, we are being bred into a sociey with little or no say in our own personal freedom and how we can live our own lives. It is all about looking down your nose at others. These vaporisors do not harm to those around you, if they want to give you a dirty look that is on them and their own misery, not yours.

Everywhere. from work to malls to bars to restaurants to movies, it is not smoking, there is no combustion, no burning of tobacco, our laws are based on smoking/ burning tobacco.

I understand the legal part of it, that the laws don't apply. Or is it that cut and dry. We are releasing a mist of nicotine. You can't just fire off a spray can of RAID in a public place (yes I know why would you do that, I was just trying to think of an example of where an "emission" would not be permitted), or smoke not "lit tobacco" but rolled wood chips...

So you vape everywhere... What reations are you getting? Do people not care some places, but say things other places?

It may be legal to do in the mall, but do you really want to explain to the 1,000 people in there one at a time as they stop you? Does that even happen?

I know there was a post in the American section where a vaper was not allowed to smoke in a bar, because if they did the bar owner would have to explain to every smoker in there what vaping is, when they ask why he can "smoke" and I can't.

People are going to stop you at least and ask what you are doing in a freindly way. Although neat to start with after you've been asked the 1,000,000 time its gotta get annoying?

Can you share some of your stories? It can't be you vape everywhere and no one has ever said anything. :)

LoL....... lil irritated this morning Kempton ?? Perhaps a nic increase ?? :D

It IS getting quite pathetic in general for us NON-sheep, and I don't see it getting any better or easier in the future either.

With regards to the PV's there is no way to put your foot down and state your "perspective" to an establishment without documented scientific proof from acceptable studies.

Just because we feel its better certainly doesn't give us the right to infringe our belief over another's, and Health Canada sure isnt there for us to get help from to gain acceptance in the mainstream. Maybe someday, but not any time soon I'm affraid.

The ones that get me laughing are those who decide to come sit near you and sudden start coughing from the "visual" of the vapour being like smoke. THOSE are the ones I tell to piss up a rope and move on !!

Whats the % of those owners/managers that say Yes vs No?

Honestly, I don't keep stats, lol.....

I'd say better than 70% will allow dependant on the atmosphere in their establishment at the time, and where they are seating me.

If allowed to vape, I'm not blatant about it, nor at the same time do I try to hide it.

I'm really not out there to hassle or flaunt it to anyone in general with these new devices, so I rather just find a place to enjoy my habit and avoid a confrontation peacefully.

Its the "in your face" attitudes that get to me (on both ends), I have no patience for those types of behaviour.

I certainly agree with you on most part, but I just don't do it if ppl around me don't want it. I just simply can't provide them with scientific prooof that shows vaping is 100% healthy (nothing is now days...), and if they have problem I will take it somewhere like smokumchevy said. I just hope you are not one of those dummies who exhale the vaper on ppl's face just because you can!! ^0^

For me Id say its a matter of what type of establishment, and whose in control.

No name bars/resturants I usually ask, and most condone it. But @ chains (ie KFC, mcdonalds) I just vape, it does takes some finnesse to hide it, but Ive never been stopped or asked to 'put it out' or anything. Ive vaped walking through mall corridors, not really inside stores. I know if I ask a mall cop, not only will I get told no, but they'll watch me like a hawk from that point on...

My personal favorite is movie theatres. I hate wanting a smoke 1/2 way through a 3h movie! Its dark enough that I just hide the LED and no 1 is the wiser. The same should apply for sports events, minus the dark. In other words, places Ive avoided since zero tolerance smoking bans took effect.

Private homes is one I didnt think of when I got my 510, but almost all my friends let me vape inside their non smoking homes, whether theyre smokers or not.

One place I didnt vape, or ask was in the hospital. While its (probably) not harmful, I thought itd be inappropriate to atempt, and Im not that much of a nic fiend. :D

I work at the local airport and vape at my desk right in the middle of the main terminal with the airport managers permission.

Before doing so I explained to him what an -cig was and how it does not break the non-smoking laws due to the lack of burning tobacco products. I also explained to him that Health Canada has banned the sale, advertising and sale of e-cigs in Canada but there is no actual law against using them.

The reactions I have gotten from people is to ask what I'm doing and I explain it to them. I have not yet had ANYONE complain about it after being told what they are and how they work but have had numerous people wanting to know where I got it. To these people I explain the Health Canada ban and my opinion of it and suggest they look online if they want to purchase one.
