Where did the flavor go

hi ya,
After a few different attempts I have finally settled on the Volt XL drip resistant auto battery and Smokeless Image cartomizers. I have also tried a few different flavors and found I really like 555. Somewhere between 12mg and 18mg nicotine is just about perfect for me. Here is my issue, I take the first few "drags" and the 555 flavor is there, not bold but there. After those first few the flavor just goes completely away. I suspect this has something to do with the cartomizer heating up. I am looking for a 555 that has flavor bursting from it ( like putting a new piece of chewing gum in your mouth ) from the first hit to the last. Is there anything close out there? The other option is get some 555 around 36mg and diy it until I figure out the mix. I really don't want to do that because I know I will never be totally happy. I'll always think if i do this or that it might make it better.

thanks,
PJ

Well, it could be a few things.

Are YOU filling your cartos or are you buying them prefilled? If you are filling them, you may not be filling them completely. Make sure the filler inside is 'slushy'.

It could be that you haven't gotten your taste buds back completely from smoking real cigarettes. I know when I first started vaping, I'd be able to taste the flavor to start with and then it would go away, just like you described. Be sure to drink lots of water, that'll help flush out all that nasty stuff that cigs have left in your body. You might think about trying some menthol or cinammon...something with a strong flavor for right now, and move on to milder flavors alittle later.

Are you able to order your juice with extra flavoring? I know some venders offer more flavoring for alittle more $. You might try that also.

Hopefully someone else will come on here with some more suggestions for you

Happy vaping and Welcome to ECF!

Thanks Kay. I fill my carts up until they are slushy, most of the time 6 to 10 drops. Then I check them maybe a few hours later and sometimes add a couple more drops. I haven't been drinking enough water, probably part of the problem. I am more than willing to spend a little extra for added flavoring if someone can point me in the right direction of a good ejuice company that offers it.

humm 6 to 10 drops sounds lite to me as mention above 25 to 30 to fill is more like it, when i used carts this was the case and had to top them off every 30 min. (i like to vape ha ha).

any how i am a 555 freak and can say DIY is simple at least for me, pinkspot has some good 555 but of course my DIY is just fine for me and don't see any difference :)
