My understanding is that a cool, dark place is best for LONG TERM storage (supposedly will be good for 2 years in fridge) . Therefore, I keep large bottles, or untried flavors in the fridge. I carry small, frequently used bottles with me for ease of access, but NEVER carry more than 3 ml of any flavor-extra stays in fridge!

The only advice from Dow chem who is the largest maker of PG, is cool, dark, dry. The thing about storing any liquid is the sensitivity to changes in temp and humity. For example even though wine is best stored at 57 degrees, it would be better to store at 70 if it were constant, than having it at say, 55, taking it out into 75 degrees, putting it back in to 55 degrees, etc. It's that change in temp that creates moisture and can ruin some fluids. There was a contentious thread a while back with lots of opinions and stated results - a few of which were ruined juice from storing in the fridge - you could search it if you want. Still many will say it's no problem. Your choice. I just have mine in the cellar which here, is cool dark and dry, and haven't had any problems in 6 months.
