OMG. My Twist just came in the mail. I'm a total noob. This is my first vape. I've never tried any other e-cig. I'm generally a sporadic smoker. I love nicotine. I just don't love all the other junk it comes with so I don't smoke as often as I would like. I've just had a few pulls on this and I think I'm in love. I have a nice little nicotine buzz and a faint caramel taste in my mouth. That's it. And I can sit here at my computer and vape. I don't have to sit out on the porch! I could actually use this in my car without it smelling like an ashtray!

Why does anyone smoke anymore? This is awesome!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction ECF!

Addiction is a helluva thing. I tried to quit for...oh, at least 3 years. Deteriorating health and financial problems didn't stop me, in fact they added to stress which made me smoke MORE.

Propaganda and advertising don't help either, tis an uphill battle.

Ash try full of crushed out cigs may be gone but wait till your wife throws a big time fit over not being able to do the dishes because all your empty bottles are filling up the dish drainer.

I'm the wife, but my husband does his fair share of dishes. He'd just shove them aside. Though I'm not sure what he's going to think about the vape in general. I haven't mentioned it to him yet. He's been ok with the fact that I smoked cigarettes from time to time so I doubt this would bug him. I don't think he was thrilled about the smoking, but he didn't complain. He smokes a pipe now and again himself. Maybe he'll end up wanting a pipe mod!

I love that my truck doesn't smell like cigs. Congrats on ditching cigs and going with vaping.

Being more of a sporadic smoker, I didn't smoke in my car but lord knows I wanted to. Anyone who commutes to work in the SF Bay Area will sympathize.

I hate the way the smell lingers, so I only smoked outdoors. It's pretty rare where I live for anyone to smoke indoors. The weather is pretty mild here.

Little story about smoking indoors, I'm sure many can relate.

I was in a rental unit for 2 years, smoking allowed so I did. When it finally came time to move I had to clean some scuffs. Those little wipes left giant bright white streaks, and I had to spend over a week scrubbing every wall down in a little 700sq ft. The colour of the water....oof. And the smell. Oh god the smell.

SF Bay Area here. Yes! I sympathize! Used to smoke all the time in my older car, as I wanted to keep my newer one free from the cigarette stink, but now I vape in both AND my wife's car! Glorious!

I just love the idea of all the good things I like from cigs while leaving behind the bad. Besides, film from vap is no different from smoke residue on glass? or is it?

I actually had a post on this yesterday with not much of a response. Here's my two cents;

*Disclaimer: I have no scientific proof, whatsoever. Simply a "gut feeling" about it.*

Smoke: Tar, baccy, chemicals, etc build up on the glass
Vape: PG/VG vape sticks to the glass and dirt/dust/debris sticks to the PG/VG?

I've noticed it happens more frequently with dirtier windows. I keep my car immaculately clean whereas my wife's car is... well its not as clean as mine... I notice her windows fog up more when I vape in there than in my vehicles. Windex, clean microfiber cloth, flashlight. I spray, wipe, let air dry, then wipe with a second dry cloth, then flash a light onto the glass at an angle to see if there are any residual streaks. When no more streaks appear, I'm good to go. Just my OCD two cents. Take it how you will. Cheers!

60 miles a day on the 101. It was either take up vaping or kill someone.

Ahhhh, I'm going to guess a Southbay driver? That 101 stretch sucks, I hear. But then again the Northbay 101 (Marin-SF) is pretty terrible too. I'm a reverse 580 driver so it's not as bad as when I used to be a rush-hour 101... I don't miss it. At all. Cheers Figgy! I raise my Twist to you and all the other vapers on the road!

:toast: Glad to hear your success story, as well as other's too - gives me hope that I'll be joining the ranks soon. Been vaping on and off since Dec. but still haven't kicked the analogs (date is set for my b-day Sept 29). I'll be on fall break for a month, shut up in the house with non-smokers, so I figure that would be a good time to do it. The wife and daughter are totally cool with the vapor, too boot!

And now that I found my eGo-T, have a Storm 2 with 3.5ml Cartomizer on the way and found this great forum* I really believe I can kick this 40 year habit.
