That annoys me!! Sometimes even the way they speak annoys me hehehe! Have you seen there is now a supporting supplier called 'Hard ... vapor' and looking down the posts pretty much everyone in the lounge is US!!

They also get far too excited about high voltage mods too I think.

Haha... and here was me worried i'd get frowned upon for my comment.
To be honest i come straight over here now when i log on - i've only been vaping 2wks so 99% of the stuff in the threads about mods/chucks & other mad scientist sounding stuff is beyond me..
I'm happy with my little black supermini - its got me analog free in 2wks & i would'nt swap it for the world, regardless of the yankie sneers.

Cheers guys, good to know you're here :D

That's probably because they look like grenades. Anyway, be careful what you say to them. I just got a bit of a slap and advised not to be so antagonistic.

I started with a 401 and have since moved to a 510. I'm still not getting much of a throat hit so I may be looking at mods myself soon :(

The 510 can be a bugger sometimes! Did you vape past the primer? It seems to me that the 510 has a very weak throat hit when cartridges are used, sometimes when the attie is more than 2 weeks old but other 510 atties can give no problem! Treat yourself to a new attie and try 2 - 3 drops of e-liquid directly into the atomiser. It sometimes takes half a day to get rid of the primer but it should really come alive!!

Hi.
Just joined the UK group. Have been reading it a lot, but only just managed to sign up.

I am from Ipswich Suffolk and have been vaping for about 4 weeks.
Love it or hate it? ....time will tell but so far it seems OK.
Searched through the thread but there don't seem to be anyone else from this neck of the woods vaping + i don't know anyone else here in Ipswich that uses a PV.

I own a Tornado with LR atty's purchased from TW. This is my best PV, highly recommended.
Also got two Mini-Pipes + a cigar and a Miniciggy, these have been boxed away since i got the Tornado. Probably use the parts for a mod, one of these days. I vape 38mg liquids, Old Holborn + Golden Virginia as others seem far too weak. Apart from coffee i dislike fruity flavors.

Been a RYO + Pipe smoker for 50 years+ and a habit that seems impossible to break. Still smoke a few RYO's but given up the pipe since vaping. I guess that's a start in right direction to cutting back.

Mick.

Thankyou for clearing that up tribalmasters i'd just posted this somewhere else asking for advice on my new 510..

"I'm just wondering how long its gonna take to get rid of the weird 'new' taste?

Am i right in thinking its some kind of primer on the atty?

I've been excited all day waiting for the batteries to charge & when i finally get to give it a go it was'nt half as good as i'd hope for
I don't think i'm doing anything wrong but it is my 1st time with manual batteries & so i'm not sure how long to hold the button down or how much vapour to expect?

I was hoping to make this my 'main' pv (reliable & sturdy etc) keeping my cute little black supermini for nights out BUT unless i figure out what i'm doing wrong or the taste sorts itself out, i can see me putting it back in the box
Any advice will be most welcome - i'm still a newbie, only 2wks into this but already totally converted & not a single analog since day 1

Obviously just gotta stick with it - half a day of barely any vapour & a nasty taste? Maybe i'll start tonight accompanied by a bottle of wine(keeping my supermini close at hand for the occasional tasty vape) hehe

I forgot to mention! It is a very, VERY thirsty atomiser when new. In my experience with the 510 the atomiser can drink the first and even the second cartridge within 5 minutes. It sounds like your problem may be that it drank all the juice in your cartridge and is vaping a little dry! As soon as it tastes nasty pop a new cartridge on :) Eventually after maybe 15 minutes to half an hour the primer will burn off and the atomiser will work perfect! Dripping 2 - 3 drops on the attie now and then can speed it up a little and the throat hit will start kicking in :)

Dartford calling

hey, i'm from right on the south coast, about 10 miles from Brighton, in the almost pointless county of West Sussex, there's literally nothing of importance in it, you have to leave it on the east to go to Brighton, you have to leave it in the west to get to Portsmouth, and you have to got right to the nothern edge to get to Gatwick, which is probably the best place to go to leave this godforsaken place.

Aw!! Well at least you're near the sea, not stuck in the middle of a city surrounded by cars on all sides like me!
