Where is everyone from?

I live in a little town outside of Pittsburgh PA. I grew up here, left after high school and never intended to return. Lived for a while in TX (so I also say y'all often), then Bay Area (San Francisco suburbs for 10 yr), and DC Metro Area (20 years there). I intended to retire to TX--loved it there. But my mother developed Altzheimer's and needed me, so I moved back to my little old home town about 8 years ago. Was lucky in that I brought my job with me and worked from here (I am a technical writer/researcher and wrote pubs for the Dept. of Energy). She died on Christmas Day, 2 years ago, but now I am retired and pretty well stuck here. Pretty boring here all in all, but between Facebook and this forum, now, I manage to keep myself entertained.
First 20 Years of my life just outside Anchorage Alaska in a town called Eagle River. The current 24 years of my life here (in the yearly 7-8 months of never ending Rain) Portland Oregon. I must have brain damage due to the fact I choose to live here ....as I work outside EVERY DAY. Although I think i would be miserable living in a dry, baron, flat and hot region!!

I'm in the part of Virginia that most people don't know exists lol. I'm originally from NC, lived in and around Charlotte for several years, and people here think I'm from up north because I don't sound as "hick-ish" as most of them, while people in NC always thought I was from the deep south 
Current lodge location is in Toronto area of Ontario, Canada!

Have lived in Colorado the past 29 years. Originally from Oregon (beautiful state, but Colorado is too). When I first moved to Colorado, people thought I was from Minnesota (???) and people still ask me that sometimes.

Born in St. Louis, MO grew up in Orange County, CA lived in Oxford, MS for a bit and then moved back to St. Louis for 3 years (to take care of my Grandpa until he passed) then down to Dallas, TX (I miss Dallas terribly!!) and then here to Las Vegas. I actually really like Las Vegas but the people in Texas were the nicest people out of everywhere that I have lived.
