Looking to purchase some 100% Food Grade Propylene glycol and not sure who would sell it in town, what names it would be under or if it must be purchased online?
Farm supply stores usually have it by the gallon. Any pharmacy can order it by the gallon. I ordered a gallon 2 1/2 years ago for DIY and have about half a gallon left. Still makes great juice.
Why on earth would you feel bad about ordering a legal product that is ubiquious throughout our culture, society & economy? When I went into the pharmacy to order it the guy behind the counter asked what I want it for. I told him because I wanted it. Then I asked him if there was a form to fill out? Are there any warnings out on the product? Did he want to make a sale or did he want me to take my business elsewhere? He shut up real quick and took my money and called me when it arrived.
There is no difference between buying Propylene glycol and a bag of Twinkies. Order away. And if anyone gives you any crap look them in the eye and stand your ground. In this economy anyone turning their nose up at your money hasn't earned your money.
Well after calling a local walmart pharmacy & having some difficulties with the pharmacy helper (she was telling me it was a powder & I needed a prescription and that it was for a colonoscopy) I politely asked to speak with the pharmacist who was able to find the PG & ordered it for me. She said it will be available tomorrow after 2 pm. Not bad for ordering at 7pm. It's a 16oz bottle & is $15.96 (with tax I think it's right around $17)
Seems like an ok price I suppose. Perfume's Apprentice has it for a lot cheaper, but once you calculate in shipping it almost makes it about even. Maybe Perfume Apprentice is good if you need a gallon or more of it.
