I purchased 4 online. They worked had no complaints then one lost its charge within a week. So i stumbled upon our great forum and did researching and found that man ALL 4 i purchased are fakes! Where do you guys purchase LEGIT SONY 18650 VTC4 batteries at? I see some post claiming such and such websites are legit but when I looked at the images of the Sony's they were selling they all had the fake details that mine did.

Granted the other 3 batteries work not bad last's me around 10-12 hours but I would like to know if these fakes last this long how well would a real one last? And would love to pick up some.

Thanks!!!

BTW did you happen to run the battery really low, the one that no longer holds a charge?

i might have? I just know when I use that one by the end of my work day (9-5) its pretty much dead but others will last a couple hours longer.

What if the Xstar batteries are the fake sonys rewrapped in Xstar branding so Sony wont get mad! What if..............

Well, I don't KNOW that they are legit, but the ones I just received from Mountain Oak Vapors look just like the ones I got from - I think it was Varitube - and those cells outdo the efest "35A"'s, so I think they are legit. Anyway, they have them in stock. Not cheap, but I caught the black Friday 25% off sale and gave them a shot. Hope this helps.

If you run a battery below 3v, you can damage the battery and it won't hold a charge like it used to. Do you have anything to measure voltage like a multimeter or volt meter?

If RTD says the xtar are vtc4s, I'm inclined to believe them. Sony doesn't really want their batteries used for vaping, but it wouldn't surprise me if a third party company like xtar could buy them for "other uses" and rebrand them.

I already checked on the images of the sony batteries on M.O.V. and I already noticed a key feature on their Sony that was missing on mine that is on a real battery. May give them a shot.

Thanks again

Oh, Sean has them in stock now! And at a good price. I would trust him. If I were buying today, I'd pull that trigger.

Edit: remember to look for a discount code, too!

Code LV20 knocks the two pack down to $15.80. Pretty awesome deal. I recently received six of these and they are certainly legit cells. Probably need to grab a few more. Sean runs a tight ship and I like giving my business to LV.

How ou get them down to 15.80? Mine came out 19 something. Thx.

Figured it out. lol. I am looking at single instead of 2 packs.
Just bought me a two pack. Great deal. I bought a pack from amazon for 20 bucks and I will return them since it has mixed reviews.
