My GGTB has seen some serious use and abuse and last week while lifting some heavy equipment i felt something give way in my pocket but didn't think much about it until i later took my GGTB out and noticed the atty sitting at an angle >.< the thread in the aluminium atty cap had stripped and while i was able to remove the brass threaded 901 connector it will no longer screw into the atty cap.
I have tried filling the void around the nut side of the connector with silver solder to try and hold it in place but it has not been a very successful fix
If anyone has one of the original size GGTB 901 atty caps (i think they where all and only 901/KR808-D back then?) or possibly one of the newer ones (slightly greater diameter than the original) and preferably in aluminium and they would be willing to part with it in the sure and certain knowledge that it will go to someone who will use the hell out of it on a daily basis then please let me know.
